Great First book

This is my first book by the author and I was fairly impressed. Erin does a fantastic job with the female narration. I really wish she was the primary narrator.

A satisfying story!

Just love me a transporter to another world, slice of life adventure for some ordinary dude that’s walked up one day in over his head and yet still manages to come out on top and gets the girl. Or several. Also, Andrew and Erin did a good job too!!

get started to a new series

The narrators did an excellent job with the book. It has good pacing throughout. The NSFW parts were hot and satisfying.

I wish the main character was a little bit more badass. As I'm a sucker for overpowered characters but well worth spending money on.

At the current price, I say save the credit and just buy the book.

Weird, But Still Finished It

I did finish the book, so that says something amongst my library of half-finished or abandoned titles.
My biggest complaints are that the book is inconsistent, all the female characters have no character, and at times, lines made me cringe out of my enjoyment.
The book starts the MC with amnesia... kind of. it only seems to be a flimsy paper door until the author wants to give him knowledge of a subject. It can feel quite contrived when the amnesia just suddenly informs him that he was an engineer. Not a specific one, just a generic engineer who can know all the buts and pieces of architecture of gunsmithing or metallurgy. He's just that good.
All the women in this book are the same. You have your pick between hourglass merchant, hourglass barmaid, hourglass fighter. It feels like they're objects to be won, not living people. They all start to blend together after a while since none of them have wants or needs, just their interest in the MC and the quest he must perform to win them like a trophy.
The author has a habit of repeating words, so be aware of a lot of a$$ and whatnot when it comes to describing people or cursing. I started rolling my eyes, but it might make for a decent drinking game...
But all in all, I completed the book, so I had to enjoy it somewhat more than I disliked it. Take from that what you will.
I do hope the author learns and improves, because the end of the book definitely leaves it open for a sequel and hopefully this acts as a good learning experience for them.

relatable isekai

I really enjoyed this book. As I mentioned it was very relatable because the mc do doesn't immediately become op and have every adv because he is new to a world.

This is an engaging story that has fun and excitement and several intriguing characters and it keeps you interested throughout

Great opening book to hopefully a long series

Really enjoyed this one, it is going to be a great series. Poor pickles, this story is still small in scope but could easily be huge I think. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

soo much greatness

I received a free code in exchange for an honest review. This book is soooo much better than I anticipated. MC isn't op, but gets by on wit and gile alone. There's some spice, but only enough to enhance the story, not over power it. Great story, fantastic production quality.

show promise with ample room for improvement

Quite enjoyed this book and I'm curios to see where it will be going and if it will deliver.

The audio aspect was one of the best parts of the audiobook, both narrators do a great job bringing the story back to life and making it feel "authentic".

I also liked the angle of the story and that it doesn't waste time building a sob story for the main character of his life before the transmigration. He is just an engineer that was brought to the world and now has to figure out how to live and integrate in a society based around mid to late medieval times.

The story was mostly ok, although I suspect it's struggling a bit between what it wants to focus on, either the adventuring aspect or the inventing side of the story. A bit of depth would have worked better here, but it's not a major drawback. Towards the later parts of the story it got quite good, even though the mid part of the book kinda drags a bit.

Overall a recommended read to pass the time with good premise and ample room for improvement.

A start of a new great series

While the beginning of this story was a little rough for me it makes up for it if you just give it a bit of time I hope that people will give this the chance it deserves for this awesome start to a new series
