Way too much para normal
This is not my favorite CJ box book. When you have to spend the last five chapters explaining the intricacies then you have made too many turns in the plot

gets off to a slow start
I've been enjoying the Joe Pickett book series. This book, however, seems to get off to a slow start and trudges along slowly until about halfway through. But that's just my opinion. I'm still looking forward to the next book in the series.

Creativeness of story
Didn’t think CJ Box could develop such a complex and creative story involving wildlife, ranches, oil / mining industry and challenges of a small town in Wyoming. But always with warm, real life family interactions. I’m now hooked on CJ Box stories! Gifted writer indeed!
