M.J. Holliday and her crew interrupt the frantic schedule of their reality TV show, Ghoul Getters, and hotfoot it to New Mexico, where a dreadful demon is waging tribal warfare. Same Whitefeather - M.J.'s spirit guide - urgently needs her help to stop this evil spirit from wiping out the descendants of his tribe. It doesn't take a psychic to predict that M.J.'s going to have a devil of a time making New Mexico a demon-free zone.

I really enjoy this author!! I would love to meet the woman who created so many interesting characters!! She must be amazing herself! To anyone who reads this, when I find a writer that I like a lot , I usually love all they do so my review could be tainted with that overall view. Her stories are just so interesting to me and I love her humor! I read without thinking to about character development , plot line, and literary stuff. I just enjoy a good story and that is what I find in this series and every other series by this author. It makes me smile and that is all I need from a book. I am simple that way and usually easy to please with a good story. Also, I just have to add that I love the character Gilley and I adore the way the narrator does his voice. It's as adorable as he is in the book.
Victoria Laurie, has hit a Giant Ghoulie Goalie, with Ghouls Interrupted, book 6 of the Ghost Hunter mystery series. It's a funny, fantastic, paranormal, serial killer, thriller, chiller!
M.J. Holliday, is the star investigator on a TV reality show, Ghoul Getters. Accompanying her on the ghost busting tour are, BFF Gilley Gillespie, BF Heath Whitefeather. Popping in now and again from the other side to assist as M.J.'s spirit guide, is Heath's deceased grandfather Sam Whitefeather.
Heath receives a call that his uncle has died. He informs M.J. he must go to the Zanto Pueblo in New Mexico. Sam informs M.J., that a terrible, ancient, evil has gotten loose, and if not stopped, will kill all the Whitefeather kin, including Heath. The Ghoul Getters team, heads for New Mexico to hunt down, and stop the evil spirit.
They discover that a demon, freed from a long incarceration, is wrecking deadly havoc in the area. No one in the tribe, believes the trio's theory, even after viewing the remains of a giant claw mark embedded in a tree. The tribe thinks it's probably a mountain lion, claw mark. The slinking, slithering, dragon-shaped demon continues its killing spree while the trio risks their lives, investigating the murders. Most of the tribe members, think they are plum loco, refuse to help capture the demon and generally hinder the crew's investigative efforts.
Gilley is once again, TOO FUNNY for words with his hypochondriac issues! He brings eccentricity, humor and loyalty as he follows along after M.J. and Heath, in the demon hunt. The trio goes into places, where the even the most brave, dare not enter.
Great performance by the Narrator, Eileen Stevens!
Loved this story - hated for it to end! This cast of characters is a sure hit! I love their interactions with a great mix of comedy & mystery. Eileen Stevens does a wonderful job portraying this Victoria Laurie series! I highly recommend it!
Sci-fi, detective, cozy. Only give 5s to those books I think stand above the rest. 4 is a good solid book. 3 is average, nothing special.
Another in the series. All are very good and fun listens. Not ms. Laurie's best work, but worth the time (especially if you've already listened to the other). Personally I liked the psychic eye series a bit better. I like her books as they have the romance without getting too graphic.
Ok story hard to say interested. I'm not into the indian thing so to me it was drawn out. I love the character lines and the story line was ok but was not her best. I'm glad I got it but was that fast fun easy listen... Sorry to say turned it off a few times and turned on the music because it just did not keep my interest pecked. I'm ready for the next one. I love scary Gilly he is just to funny.
Have always loved books and I find that as I have gotten older I find this way more enjoyable then listening to the radio.
it's a wonderful version, because u get the sheer emotion in the narrator's voice, u feel the power when heath and his family fight the black hawk demon, u get the sheer touching moments between gilly and MJ...it's a wonderful story.
learning more about heath and learning more about how his and MJ's abilitys truly work and how far they are willing to go for one another.
The feeling that MJ has for heath and the love that Gilly has for MJ and The drumstick song..OMG that's the funniest thing ever.
white feather and heath fighting the demon, with MJ
Love this series have read very book and listening to these one's is sooo worth it.
You'll not be pressed to expand your vocabulary! Snarky attitudes abound. Mostly very shallow characters (especially Gill, who's very hard to tolerate), whom the author insists on keeping shallow and irritating. Maybe she likes that type of person or thinks he's comic relief. I beg to differ. Overall, the series is okay but by now is completely different and far less mature than the first couple of books.
This one brings the group back to the U.S. Heath's homeland when an Uncle dies. This one you learn about Indian Ways, & customs for his tribe and Indian Spirits. Again filled with mystery, murder, humor, history, and romance.
Hook on this series. Great story & fabulous narration. starting the next book right now!
