Publisher's summary

During a mission on planet Tragul, I have the misfortune to get stranded with Lieutenant Agan Drankai, the most arrogant prick in the entire alien army of the country Ravie. I save his life during combat. But the big, tough Agan isn't too pleased having a "tiny" female as a mission partner.

When he and I end up separated from the rest, we get captured and brought to a secret lab supposedly operated by our allies. A rogue scientist performs an illegal experiment on Agan, which finally allows the cocky lieutenant to get a taste of his own medicine.

The tough guy is now no bigger than my palm.

He thought he hated fighting side by side with a woman before? Now, he literally has to be carried back to his army base by one. And the safest way for me to do that is to stuff him in my bra.

Despite his small size, Agan's ego remains as big as ever, but so are his confidence, courage, and loyalty. The better I get to know him, the more I find his "little self" growing on me.

How much does the size really matter? And does it matter at all?

Contains mature themes.

Hate the cover art, really enjoyed the story

I absolutely hate the cover art of this book with him on the cupcake because it does the story and characters not justice imo. So please do NOT judge this book by its cover. The characters are both accomplished soldiers and honestly it would've been better to have a cover with her in dress uniform with hair in bun and him on her shoulder whispering in her ear (which happen a lot).

Regardless of the cover, this book was a lot of fun and held my interest the entire time. I was actually afraid it was going to get very campy and be 5+ hrs of silly too stupid to live situations, but that wasn't the case at all. The romance between grew at a good pace to seem natural. Now the intimate scenes were a bit interesting, but I thought Marina Simcoe did a great job of writing how physical handicaps can be overcome or even advantageous.

I started this series with one of the other books so they are all stand-alones, but each is very loosely tied to a holiday (which I'm assuming is the reason for the stupid cover art). However, the holiday in this books (Valentine's Day) is only mentioned twice and has a "first step" attachment to their romance... that's it, so don't expect it to be like a lot of other holiday series where the entire plot is based around the holiday.

Definitely would recommend this book and since I'm now 2 for 2 in this series, I'm going to listen to the rest. Marina Simcoe is now on my read/listen list of authors!
