A beautiful story of strength
This is a masterpiece written with so
Much obvious research and work. The smallest details are carved out and displayed in a way to make you feel you are reading a non- fiction autobiography. I love all of Nancy Turner’s books.

Wonderful!!
This audio book is a sweeping saga from slavery in Jamaica to The Boston Tea Party! The narration is absolutely amazing!!!! I enjoyed it all. The best epilogue I have ever heard.

beautifully done.
I enjoyed it thoroughly. The characters were very rich and colorful. The details make the story come alive and I felt a part of the story. I love audio books but felt maybe my concentration was waning as I was not able to get into the books I ordered. I was considering leaving Audiobooks. This book was gripping and more than kept my interest.

Captivating!
It was a long book but what a wonderful story of a very strong minded woman. I could never be that brave or survive such hardship. Loved the historical value of it also

Wonderful story
I took a chance on this book as I have never heard of this author. So glad I did. The author has a wonderful straight-forward no nonsense way of writing. She does not get bogged down in pettyfogging minutiae. The story flows in a pleasant way and keeps ones attention throughout the book.if you like the Outlander series you may like this book.
I highly recommend you give it a try. I’m going to read Turner’s other books!
