Two Wonderful Parallel Stories

The threads of this book are so beautifully woven into a tapestry that brings together two stories, which are inviting, challenging , and comforting.

I love how Jesus was the prominent figure In every generation represented in the story, God keeps his promises

I love the two-story lines that ran together past and present, and that the Lord was the same, and that he always kept his promises to those who belong to Him

Well written

These books are well written. They are interesting without mistakes in timeline or that sort of thing. The characters are deep and mature/change naturally. I’m picky about books. I have not been disappointed at all with this author. The only negative thing I could say (not sure that it’s negative) is that they are so deep and moving that I can’t jump into the next book easily. She deals with tough subjects that require introspection and thought. Rather like digesting steak as opposed to thin soup. In my opinion, it makes them better.

Marvelous story and wonderful characters!

I was absolutely delighted to find this sequel to finish the story of No Creek, North Carolina. The characters and storyline is unforgettable. So many truths are revealed in this beautiful story!

the fact that both Wars in this story really weren't much different!!

Absolutely loved the story & going back and forth in the Era was wonderful how it all ties together.

This was a great book continued the story in Night Bird Calling. Really liked the narrator also.

How the story was weaved

How it was poetically done, the voice of the speaker was smooth. The flash to the 1944 and then back to the civil war.

Beauty at its finest

I very much loved this story. I found myself rooting for Joe and angry at Garrison and cheering for Celia. Such a lovely end to a tragic series of events.
