Publisher's summary

Ain’t no mercy on the mean city streets.

Midnight in New York City. A car stops at an intersection. Three mean men inside. A scared girl in the back. Before the lights turn green, a motorcycle stops next to it. The rider sees the girl making a distress hand signal. Lucky for her, the man understands the signal. Unlucky for her captors–the man is Axel Blaze.

The chase that begins at a Manhattan intersection takes Blaze on a treacherous journey. A drugs and prostitution gang is wreaking havoc on the streets. They are mean men who will do whatever it takes. Trouble is, so will Blaze.

It’s going to be mayhem on the mean streets of the city that never sleeps. Following the success of Blaze Returns, Lethal Force, and Hard Target, Bill Runner is back with the fourth novel in the Axel Blaze thriller series. The fast-paced, brutal action in the series is attracting fans of thriller novels worldwide.

The thrills never stop coming!

It was a spellbinding story. The action starts in Manhattan and the craziness keeps winding through New York’s Mean Streets. A troubled girl asks Blaze for help and he isn’t one for holding back. Great characters. Great story. Bill Runner knows how to weave an action-packed story and Charles Kahlenberg knows how to tell one. Five stars on everything.

Kept me on the edge!

This is my third Blaze thriller and enjoyed every minute of it. I love how Runner develops his female characters to work with Blaze. They're tough, sensible and integral of the part of the plots. Moving on to the next one now, Blaze Returns. Keep it up, Bill!

What a thrill ride!!

I love Axel Blaze series and had been waiting for Audio version of the book, I must say it was worth the wait. If Axel Blaze would have a voice it would be of Charles Kahlenberg. The narration does justice to the story and it takes you wondering in the mean streets of New York. The story is capturing from the start, as Axel Blaze notices a signal from a young girl asking for help. The action does not stop, just gets better.

I would highly recommend this audiobook. Enjoy!!

Where's Kyle Snyder?!?

What happened to Kyle Snyder? Why isn’t he narrating these books anymore? The lead character went from sounding like a hardcore, badass mixture of John Wayne and Bruce Willis to a goofy combination of William Shatner and Adam West... It's hard to even take him serious.... I wanna love these books but Kahlennberg is making it EXTREMELY difficult... In my opinion, not a good fit for Blaze..

Action Packed Series!!!!

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this series yet. This is the fourth book in the Axel Blaze series. I like to listen to a series in order however the books in this series can easily be listened to as standalone novels.

Blaze was in the Special Forces for ten years and then he became a US Ranger for five. Now he’s just a cowboy from the Midwest. He’s visiting a friend in NY and borrows his motorcycle for a ride around Manhattan. While at stoplight a girl in the back seat of the car next to him gives him the universal sign for help. She’s in a vehicle with a few nasty looking men and one of them grabs her away from the window when he sees her doing something. Blaze being the man he is has to follow. He rescues the girl and breaks a few bones of the men holding her. They make their escape and then the hunt is on. Blaze has just rescued her from a forced prostitution ring that has its hands in other things as well. He soon learns they can’t go to the police because some of them are involved, not just in prostitution but murder. Blaze eventually turns the hunters into the hunted and a thrilling game of cat and mouse ensues.

Blaze is a one man army and some of the scenes require a little more imagination. I really like the series and like many of the heroes in this genre Blaze is no different as far as believability.

This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
Charles Kahlenberg does a great job narrating.

Decent. Story but awful sound quality

I swear this was recorded in a bathroom. Horrible sound recording quality that ruins a good well simple thriller
