Publisher's summary

The first three installments of the ultraviolent fantasy series of gladiatorial combat and survival—now in one volume!

Once every year, in the city of Sunja, gladiators Baylus, Goll, and Halm meet in the arena known as Sunja’s Pit. Their battles are epic, but deadlier still are the shadowy forces that conspire against them outside the Pit. Only by applying their brutally honed survival instincts can these brave warriors hope to win their freedom and exact grisly revenge upon their enemies.

Violence. Vengeance. Death before dishonor. The 131 Days series celebrates blood sport at its finest—and its worst.

Perfect for fans of Gladiator and A Game of Thrones!

Outstanding!

Never have I listened to something as captivating as this. I don't have credits to burn and this is worth everyone.
Do yourself a favor and get this book, only if you are not an EMT, Fireman, or in the Military. You guys need to stay focused. The rest of us can afford to get so caught up you can't stop listening! Action, fighting and humor. What more do you want. Great narration as well. This coming from an R.C. Bray fan.

wow!!!

what we have here is a writer who has found a very unique
niche of fiction which gripped from the first page. Usually, i have
three or four books going so I can jump to another when
i get bogged down in my current read. Not with this creation!
With John Lee's performance, I don't know how it could
get any better! I look forward to the next installment!

About as good as it gets. Excellent fiction, great world, great characters, great story. John Lee was outstanding. I just finished book 5 and can’t wait for the next one. Highly recommend.

Action packed

These books are full of action and very enjoyable. Like a mixture of GOT, Gladiator and 300 and just as brutal

Good but has lots of character paths

Look forward to the series. It took a little bit to get going but once I started I didn't want to stop. Sometimes it was a bit confusing with all the characters with similar names.

best narration

the story is good, not as good as mountain man but very entertaining. the narrator is awesome. I couldn't stop laughing during any of the training parts of the book. RC Bray is still my favorite but I don't think he would have done this book as well as John Lee.

Not Very Good

Maybe my issue was I kept thinking of Spellmonger (another series John Lee reads), but I was thoroughly unimpressed with 131 days.  The books went downhill each time, which I find remarkably consistent with authors who keep shortening their novels (18h 5m, 12h 46m, 9h 23m).  It's also worth noting that this is Omnibus 1 and books 4 and 6 in the series can be purchased separately.  Trying to follow who is who in the series was difficult.  The author jumps around a lot.  He will write from the perspective of one character and then immediately jump to another character in another rival house without cluing you in of the switch.  This can happen every few minutes.
