Publisher's summary

Endless miniature worlds locked inside of sentient items. Adventure never ends.

After his first college party, Dallion wakes up alone in a small medieval village in the middle of nowhere. First, he needs to figure out his where he is and how to survive a mysterious world filled with magic and monsters.

Then, he must uncover the secrets of being "awakened", which, apparently, he is. Objects in this new world are sentient, allowing the "awakened" to mend or upgrade them by traveling into the object's unique realm and defeating the guardians that lie within.

So many worlds to explore.... So much time....

Young adult oriented book

Pretty good for a title clearly targeting the young adult market. This story does grab the attention and as such is worth a listen

Unique world

So many times progressives stories follow the same worldview. This author dares to be different and does it phenomenally.

was pretty decent start

it was a good start to a series in interested in it growing more , most of the character confusion and swift attitude changes are explained by the mental influence of another awakened

A Good Introduction

L. Eclaire's first book, Leveling Up the World, does a good job of introducing a lot of material that could have crashed the book if done in long infodumps rather than the bite-size, digestible pieces it's presented in. It's pace is a bit slower at times, but the overall story is an enjoyable ride through a new(to him) world of fantasy adventure that reminds me of an Underworld's item world in the best of ways.

I have already bought the second book, and look forward to continuing the saga Jack and L have begun.

Dance revolution the rpg

One of the oddest things I’ve listened to. It might have been written by an ai. 4 hours in and the MC tries to befriend pond scum in the form of a panther. I’m not sure what is going on. Spoiler: this is a story about a guy who drank himself to death and gets isekai’d to some really lame world where he has to enter objects to mend them or upgrade them. There’s an evil landlord. Of course, the evil landlord is like a cartoon. ‘You must pay the rent!’

Darude Sandstorm Dragon

This is this story's garbage sense of humour.

if you find the protagonist yelling this like Leroy Jenkins before a fight funny, this garbage is for you.

tbf, I was already hating the protagonist and his spineless personality, this was just the last straw.

I'm starting to lose faith in the quality of the audiobooks on this site. I've been on a string of misses and Audible just makes it harder and harder to return titles, even if I've only listened for an hour.

not quite what I was anticipating

maybe I missed the point where it was clarified in story but mc is college student, but throughout the whole story he sounded like a 13 year old kid. I don't know if it was a function of the narrator or how it was written or combination.. the idea/premise is interesting.
