So much more than a detective story
I have enjoyed all the Kwei Quartey novels. And this one is read by Robin Miles. What a winning combination.
I love the character of Emma and the other individuals who reflect positive as well as negative elements in contemporary Nigeria and Ghana.

Disappointed
I loved Kwei Quartey’s first two books featuring Emma and read beautifully by Robin Miles. This third book went beyond a good murder mystery to address very dark social issues, such as human trafficking, sociopathy, and hopelessness. Somehow the main characters were only superficially affected by the horrors they confronted. If you are looking for entertainment and cultural broadening, this is not your book.
