Rare danger
This was a quick story. I would’ve enjoyed more of a developed story, but I went into this knowing it was a novella, so it would be ridiculous for me to complain about the length. I will say that there was A LOT in this novella and in my opinion, it was too much for the length. With so much going on - murders, new romance, people on the run, etc., it was all wrapped up in a pretty little bow just a little too easy. The story left me wanting more.
Kim Staunton did a good job as always with the narration.

i loved it
I've read and listened to many of her books and am a huge fan. it was short but still enjoyable. I'm used to her historical romances but I'm enjoying her mysteries. I will continue to seek out her mysteries.

Thriller/Romance
On a road trip I had the opportunity to listen to this. My interest and the interest of my car mates were kept by this story. The trip was not long enough to complete the book and we could not get started home fast enough to complete the book. Needless to say, I sold my friends on future road trips as long as the book is a thrilling and/or a good romance. Ms. Jenkins can provide and has for many years. Thank you.
