Publisher's summary

With his legend dogging him everywhere he goes, Frank Morgan longs for a place to settle down. His choice is a remote corner of untamed Northern California, a land of towering trees and rugged hills. But for Frank, the haven is a hell.

A man who is his exact look-alike has been terrorizing the local population and when the townspeople get their hands on Frank, a hangman's rope is sure to follow. If he's going to be taken for an outlaw, Frank Morgan is going to act like one. Busting out of jail with a six-gun and a plan, he's leaving this paradise behind — and won't come back until he's planted a killer in the ground....

Frank Morgan

This is an excellent book. This is my favorite book so far in this series. They have all been good. Frank goes on a revenge hunt after the gang that kidnapped and abused some wemon. There is some rough content in this book. But it is the reason Frank goes after the gang and kills them. This put me in mind of a Jess Williams book. Which is as good as it gets. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators and sound affects. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Rough days in California for Frank

I liked this book. It was pretty graphic for me a times and I had to stop the audio from time to time. I do realize that was the language and the real hardship of those times. I sit and wonder how I would have faired in those wild west days. Would I have been good or bad.
