Sash and Pecos Washed Up Outlaws Loan To Change

I do not think I can add anything more to the synopsis than was already written by The Johnston Brothers. They did a great one to draw ones attention to want to read or listen to this book. The only thing more I can add, is this story is different than any Johnson stories I have read or listened to in thebpast.

I guess I am so use to listening reading about the Jensen Clan, that I was taken back. As is all Johnston stories, it was filled with action, adequate descriptive scenes, but
was a different type of a story than I expected. I do not read the reviews, or listen to the the samples, but I do read the Aurthor's Synopsis. I must say tough, through no fault other than my own, I was surprised that it wasn't narrated by the usual, Jack Garrett, or about the Jensen' s. I have read it listen to many of them I have come across.

I have never heard this Narrator, John McClain before, but he held his own and I will add him to my list in the company of Jack Garrett as a great Natratorr. He held my attention and had a a knack for changing his voice to meet the character's voices including from male, female or even children.

I Recommended this book for only teens; however, and above because of the violence. It was nice to listen to a book without all the vulgarity.

Great story.

Great Writer and Great Narrator

The combination of William W. Johnstone, J.A. Johnstone as Western Novelists and John McLain as narrator, makes for some of the best storytelling on Audible. I listen to approximately 150 audible books a year and only recently started listening to Western Novels, and these are some of the best books yet. I wish that John McLain was the narrator for the Mountain Man Series as well, because he has a wide range of ability to capture the different characters. When I listen to some of the other narrators, I have to really pay close attention to the narrator to distinguish who is talking, wether it is the storyteller, a woman, a main character or sidekick...because they all sound the same. John McLain captures the emotion really well too. You can hear the humor and sarcasm when characters joke and you can hear the venom in the voice of the character when there is heated conversation.

Really enjoying the author and the narrator definitely keeping me entertained. Thank you so much. I look forward to more books!!

Another good western for the whole family

This was a good western story that had good content and no foul language, so you can listen to it in the car with a young child. Without worrying about them hearing any four letter words. I always love it when Audible puts up good westerns that are free with my membership. Good job Audible. 

Reader was very good

Good old western tell but very predictable. Did not develop characters . I did like the story teller.

So so but drags for awhile

The story really drags in several areas with a lot more “filler” than needed but the story itself is fine.

The Narrator has a lot of time between sentences which didn’t help so I listened to it at a faster speed (1.1-1.2) and it really sounded better all the way around

Not happy with this performance

Good story poorly written and performed horribly I will not listen to this reader in the future no will I read any more of this series. I’m a big fan or the Johnson books can’t understand what happened
