Publisher's summary

What is the life you want? What is your life purpose? If you’re reading this and feeling unsure of the answers, this book has been written specifically for you.

If you want to enjoy a healthy and happy life, taking care of yourself is an absolute must. Most of us acknowledge the importance of taking care of our physical and mental health (though we may not always do it effectively), but our spiritual self is often overlooked. Spiritual self-help is just as important as all other domains of self-help, and this book talks to you about what this means and gives you some kick-ass spiritual self-help ideas to nourish your soul!

If you are eager to get in touch with your soul more, carrying out spiritual self-help activities can be of great help.

Here's a preview of what you'll learn when you buy this audiobook:

  • How to forgive and let go
  • Developing gratitude
  • How to live in the present
  • The law of attraction secrets
  • Cleansing your energy
  • How to embrace your spiritual side
  • And much more…

This book provides a list of spiritual activities to help people tired of self-defeating thoughts and learn how to think again. Self-doubt: Self-defeat correlates with insecurity. Unexpected self-sabotage is the result of deep-seated insecurities. Therefore, they are not unexpected. Our brains are made to protect us, to keep threats at bay. Success can feel threatening, frightening, and uncertain. To identify why you always fall into self-destructive thoughts, you might ask yourself, "What am I holding myself back from?” By realizing that self-defeating thoughts are as unreal and futile as distorted thoughts, you will be well on your way to breaking the vicious circle.

Distorted thoughts occur for the sole purpose of keeping you trapped in an unhealthy mindset. If not properly addressed and understood, these distorted thoughts risk manifesting into core beliefs that are absolutely not accurate. In turn, those core beliefs that you have distorted become prevalent in your daily life, essentially forcing you to unconsciously slam on the brakes. A pattern runs deep in the brain. Our brains crave familiarity and reject everything new, different or unfamiliar. This is not always the case for everybody. However, descending mental spirals, a sudden lack of motivation, and overwhelming anxiety trigger negative thoughts. Our thoughts turn into actions that we may regret later. Awareness is only the first step toward self-improvement, and the release of these destructive patterns of thoughts are just thoughts, and a healthy state of mind recognizes the truth of distorted ones.

Many people associate spiritual activities with religion. However, this is not always the case. Sometimes performing spiritual activities is a self-help practice to help a person improve their mental and emotional health. In a nonreligious concept, spirituality emphasizes the well-being of the mind, spirit, and body. This usually includes holistic activities such as meditation or yoga. Spirituality seeks a meaningful connection with something greater than yourself, which can lead to positive emotions such as peace, wonder, contentment, gratitude, and acceptance.

If you are eager to get in touch with your soul more, carrying out spiritual self-help activities can be of great help. This book provides a list of spiritual activities to help people tired of self-defeating thoughts and learn how to think again.

Pretty good book if you're into self help.

This was a fantastic recording for me. The proof is that I read it all the way through. It's not only simple to read, but it's also jam-packed with information. I liked how each chapter ended with a recap of the most relevant facts. The specific examples of real-life events were fantastic.

Easy to Understand - Very Helpful.

I bought a couple books about self-defeating attitudes and behavior. This is by far the most useful and applicable. While other publications might go on and on about self-destructive practices, this book gets to the heart of the matter in plain English. "Self-defeating behavior arises when we fail to understand the lessons that life attempts to teach us," I appreciate how straightforward the wording is, and how effectively it highlights our faults - It symbolizes the triumph of impulsiveness over awareness, quick gratification over long-term fulfillment, and relief over resolve.
