Publisher's summary

I’m on a blind date with a Hyrrokin named Idun Grindstone.

Noooo. This will never work!

How can a human who is set to gain a significant inheritance have anything in common with a foul-mouthed, satanic-looking security specialist? Smoke regularly wafts out of this guy’s nostrils and his shiny barbed tail juts out in the air behind him as he prowls across the military hanger. But…I’m enchanted with Idun’s deep voice, his massive bare chest, and (swoon) those epic thighs. This Hyrrokin is a handsome red devil and oh so touchable. And I want my tongue in his mouth, immediately.

Unfortunately, Idun thinks I’m a spoiled, irresponsible party girl and he wants nothing to do with me.

*eye roll*

Party girl? He must have me confused with my twin sister.

And then the Hyrrokin mafia kidnaps me and I’m held for ransom. And when Idun finds out, he activates his team at Molten Lava Security and all hell breaks loose. And that’s when I discover how much this fiery ex-soldier really cares about me—despite his protestations. Ha!

Loved this auto book. The narrators did a really good job portraying the characters as the read the story. The story was good as well. A soldier with a broken heart from long ago finds a mate in a human woman that is wealthy. Because his previous long was wealthy, he decides this one is just like her and prefers money over true love. But the human woman is nothing like the woman before her. She is running away from her controlling father and is looking for her sister that she got separated from. She hire molten lava security group to help her find her sister , the group in which her love interest works for so they’re hardly ever apart and their attraction grow until neither can deny their love for one another.

3.5 Stars

This is a fun series to pop into when I'm not really feeling anything in my library. It's like coming home. The stories are fun, in an over the top way, and the audio narration is always outstanding. This one felt a little fast to me, like it had barely started, and we were already at the end, I'm not sure if I wasn't paying attention (see previous mention of my reading mood) or if it didn't have the same development as the other books. It was still good, and I'm kind of curious about the sister's book, but I'll probably stay with this series until the end, before hopping over to read it.

His human socialite

Loved the story of this Hyrokkin Idun grindstone and Jada. But the woman narrator reading the male part sounds to me the Cookie Monster. I am sorry I couldn’t help think it. Jesus I must be a Juvenile thinking this.

Not for me

Couldn’t finish the audiobook. Not sure if it was the story or the performance that made it difficult.

Jada and Idun

I love the universe Michele Mills has created. How you can choose any 2 books and find a distance connection.

Jada has never had to worry about money. She does how ever need to worry about your mob boss father trying to find her. She goes to find refudge with her cousin on Tarvos. What she finds however is a slightly damaged Harokin male who's not sure what to do with his alpha possessive feels.

A not so great female narrator

Elyce did okay but it does not hold weight to the previous female narrator’s voice. Nor does it mesh well with Patrick Zeller’s amazing voice.

The story was okay but not as fully developed as previous books in the series. It felt a bit rushed.

story amazing! female narrator not so much

I love this series! And I've enjoyed the other female voice actors, but this one... I just couldn't. The story is great! I finished reading it myself vs listening to it. Male narrator did a food job, but different from the others which kind of worked. But the female narrator grated on my nerves until i turned it off hid sentence.

A little frustrating but okay

I liked the other ones. This one was a little frustrating. I don't like when the female does the male voice.. sounded like cookie monster towards the end.
