Too short!!!

I Have fallen in love with Ruby Dixon! Her books are awesome and this is one of my favorites.. My only complaint is that it's too short! She could have done so much more with the story!! I love Ioanthie and Agricore...they help wach other come to a place of love and acceptance! Perfection!

Don’t sleep on a homebody

Better than I thought. I was delightfully surprised. Quiet, shy girls who are more comfortable at home will surprise you. Narration on point.

Intriguing first time…

Yep that was a play on words. This was my first listen by this author and I was pleasantly impressed. The narrators did a good job as well with intonation and making sure the listener could easily understand what was being said.

Loved this

Beauty and the beast, but where the beast is charming and enamored with his soon to be bride. Listened to this three times and would love to listen to more of the characters. Narration was perfect!

Great story

Loved this from beginning to end. This was my first book from this author and will definitely be reading more.

Such good bones; wish there was more meat

Another enjoyable, easy, read by RD. There was a good amount of world building for such a short book and I found myself wishing this wasn’t a standalone. I would love to see more of these characters similar to IPB or Risdaverse. I was a little disappointed by the lack of plot, especially because there was so much potential. I also found myself rolling my eyes and speeding through a few of the “nookie” scenes. The dialogue got really repetitive during these scenes and the FMC’s hesitation drug on too long. The blow job scene was like listening to someone get a root canal.
With that said though, I did like both the FMC and MMC. It was actually refreshing to have a FMC that unapologetically liked running a house and was an “indoor” girl. She was naive and shy while also being intelligent and brave.
I hope Ruby decides to revisit this world.

Cute

Wasn’t much to the story as far as plot but I enjoyed it. I chuckled out loud at a few parts. I like audiobooks where the male and female leads are voiced by male and female narrators. I wouldn’t mind finding my own half orc husband. 😂

Fast fun read

Low angst, fun, and cute story. Readers inflection and voice pattern, especially the woman's, was super annoying, constantly ending on an upturn like every sentence was a question. The man's was similar but not as bad. But beyond that, good story.
