Wow!

I’m not usually a fan of cliffhangers, but this one is awesome! The story is engaging and the characters are fascinating. I can’t wait for book2!

Narration is absolutely fantastic!!

Say WHAT!!!

Tate James!! Absolutely loved this! The storyline was super engaging and kept you wondering Al the backstories to the characters. It was obvious that Tris and her lovely elderly neighbors had more going for them than what seemed but that ending! Fabulous! I also loved all the call backs to previous Shadow Grove/Guild characters and special appearances of Steele and Archer. I felt fully immersed back into the world of Shadow Grove and I want more! The narration as always with Lucas and Michelle is top notch. I love that Tate continues to use them to keep the consistency of the characters. Lucas’ ability to recall his previous narration for Steel and Archer was brilliant and to also create new voices for John, Igor, Sin…Lucas is absolutely brilliant and a master at his art. Michelle is a pure goddess of narration as well and connects you to her characters. I can’t wait for the next one and I know I could go physically read the next book but with golden narration that brings the story to such epic levels of life I don’t know if it would be the same.

Loved it

It’s so nice to be back within SGU! Forbidden student/teacher relationship, but add in a high stakes game? Loved this book and of course it ends with a cliffhanger. And we know to expect top tier audiobooks from Tate and she delivers on this one as well!

Damn

This book was pretty good. It was a little slow, but the end the suspense, waiting for the next book to come out on audible.

Amazing Storytelling and Narration

Amazing story and once again Ms James threw a curveball that I did not see coming!! OMG. Can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!!!!

Disappointed

This was not great. I listened because Tate James is usually pretty good not this one. This was just weird

3.5 stars! I felt like most of this book was a three star for me, until the last page! Now I am super curious to see what happens next. Tate James books are normally hit or miss for me. This was somewhere in between so I am intrigued enough to continue the series. The audio on this was ok. For some reason the male part had a lot of unnecessary pausing, so it was a bit distracting.

Original ebook Review

I was not expecting to laugh as much as I did in book one of this new series by one of my favorite authors! I loved every second of this book and the tension and build-up between Tris and John was fabulous. I loved how they couldnt help falling for each other. I love the tropes she whipped out in this one, one of my favs being teacher/student. I have been on a RH and MM kick but wasn't missing anything in this M/F and appreciated she went there for this story. You have to listen to the characters and it totally made sense already in book 1. BTW the snark, drunken things, awesome side characters with sometimes no tact was on point in this one and I didnt want it to end.

I loved the storyline, little Easter eggs/references to Shadow Grove/previous characters. I like how fast paced this was, getting to see both POVs from the characters. The naughty moments were fab, ate them up and again couldnt help giggling with these 2 and their antics haha. This one does end on a cliffy but it by no means is the worst this author has given us. It still makes me want the next book but I didnt want to throw my kindle across the room this time like some from MK and Hades' series 🤣 I didn’t see some of the twists coming, so that was great. 4-4.5 stars from me!

6/14/23 Audiobook Review

I enjoyed this audiobook by these 2 narrators, they are easily in my top 10 and I enjoyed all their performances in this one. John and Tris were exactly how I imagined them in my head as I was reading the book awhile ago and they really brought these characters to life so I greatly appreciated that. I think they did an even better job at the side characters (the awesome neighbors, the bad guys, etc.). 4.5 stars from me for the narration ❤️

Tate has done it again!

Heist is another one of Tate’s there is no way you can put it down once you start reading it. This author has a way with words that sucks you in and spits you back out wondering what just happened. She is a queen with ends that leave you hanging and thirsty for more. Heist is so worth the read and/or listen. Lucas and Michelle bring this book alive . I am not gonna give away any spoilers but I am going to say that it is a MUST listen!! You will not be sorry!!!!

Yes!!

Heist is another great Tate James success story. Absolutely enthralled with the characters and the storyline. Cliffy ever present and I’m here for it !! The narration is TOP TIER!
