Very unscientific

I have to start by saying that I love Jillian Michaels as a trainer and think she makes amazing exercise programs, however this book is just full of very unscientific information.
Yes, there is lots of good info, don’t eat over processed food. But she also insists a lot on organic, non gmo - it is about time celebrities informed themselves that there is nothing wrong with gmo (in fact they have helped us use less pesticides) and that organic food doesn’t at all mean pesticides free.

I am not recommending this book

Would you try another book from Jillian Michaels and Mariska van Aalst and/or uncredited?

This book is too significant and not user friendly. I was disappointed.

What was most disappointing about Jillian Michaels and Mariska van Aalst ’s story?

That it wasn't useful book. It seemed like Jillian had taken several medical books and downloaded these into her own book.

Long winded and over dramatic

I just want the info. Everything is stretched out and over dramatized to sound like you will die soon unless you do as Michaels says. I think she has a nice voice though and some of the info can be great rule of thumbs for those who have trouble deciding what to eat.

I can't finish it though. It's too long and pessimistic. I only got this because my online course from NASM suggested it but I think I'll go for Renaissance periodization instead of finishing this.

HORRIBLE

SHE IS ASSUMING THAT EVERYONE HAS THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY. I TRIED NOT TO GIVE IT ANY STARS BUT SOMEHOW IT WOULDNT GO THROUGH

Outdated Science, bad advice and untrue...

I like Jillian Michaels as a person, I loved her radio show on KFI radio on Sundays. I think she has a good heart and truly wants to help people become healthy, the problem is she has outdated bad and untrue ideas about nutrition. This is a book that should be avoided in my opinion.

Not for me.

Her biography was too long. She gave too many details about hormones and not enough practical diet info. I eat clean and exercise 5 to 6 days per week. I was looking for an audiobook to take me to a higher level. I'll keep looking.

Good, but not a good abridgement.

Loved the great energy in the audio sample, and so I broke my rule of USUALLY not buying abridgements, so its partly my fault that I didnt thoroughly enjoy it, because I think a lot has been lost in the cuts. This is important I think, because there is quite a bit of science which gets covered. Most of the info is old in the sense that if you are into health and fitness, you will have heard it all before, but that being said, its still mostly good info and the author brings it back to life with her enthusiasm. So I suggest you buy the book in its earthly form, and skip this one on audible. Still enjoyed the authors passion though it cost me a credit.

Not very informative to me

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Jillian Micheals: Master Your Metabolism
It was so far off base it isn't even funny! I didn't get past the first chapter and was unimpressed with the lack of knowlege. The book is mostly selling herself I am afraid.

Great book, but should of bought someplace else

I loved the book, loved Jillian Michaels and the information is wonderful. I only wish I would of bought it someplace else. Jillian refers to the PDF that is included with the Audio Book that includes recipes and other nutritional information, that you don't get when you download. Next time I will get by Audio Books from a book store so I know Im not missing out.
