Gripping and hard to put down
I feel like this is one of those genius novels that slip right into a genre and get overlooked because the author's name isn't well known...yet. It should be.
I also feel like this is pertinent to the times with child trafficking being in the news so much. The author gives us some horrifying scenarios that very few probably even considered. Her very stark, realistic portrayal of drug abuse places the reader in a world they may know very little about, and is an eye opening reminder of how so many of the abused and discarded end up as addicts in the first place. I'll leave it at that so I dont spoil the plot. If you like twisty, intense storylines, check this out. I'm moving on to book #2 in the series now.
