Publisher's summary

Revenge can be bloody. Vampires are deadly.

A number one best seller in Vampire suspense and mystery suspense!

I’m Lassi Finn, and I just want to get back to Dublin - unfortunately, there’s a score of murders preventing me from ever returning to my normal life.

I came to a small town in Ireland to bury a loved one, but now I’m caught up in a mystery of the supernatural kind. Three mutilated bodies show up on my doorstep before I even have time for tea, and the local detective knows more about me than he should. Not to mention the local priest is hotter than hell...oh, and did I mention he seems to glow, and not in the normal, “happy to see me” manner?

The killer isn’t just cold-blooded. She’s cold-hearted, literally. And I’m about to be her next victim. Either that, or go down for murder.

The beginning of a steamy, dark fantasy series, Grave Stones is the first book in the edgy and quirky Bloodstone Quadrilogy. Listeners will experience thrills, romance, and sexy nights while investigating the mystery of the monster who inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula.

The Blood Stone Quadrilogy:

  1. Grave Stones
  2. Heart's Blood
  3. Iron and Salt
  4. Stone's End

Interesting blend of romance and paranormal

The story combines a good dose of romance with the paranormal. Perhaps I'd like a little more action or excitement, but I recognize that might not be the author's style. Good characters and very well written. I can imagine others getting into this series.

Easy Read

Overall this was an okay easy read. There was alot of fluff & not much depth to the characters. The relationship was lacking. The narrator however was fantastic and probably saved the story for me. I have read much better by this author.

Enjoyable especially if read with book

I had this book on my Kindle and found the combination of listening during day and reading at night to work well.
Enjoyed it with good narration using credible Irish accents.

Very interesting!

This story took a little for me to get into with all that was going on, but man did it keep me enthralled once I go into it. Loved it and hope to see more soon.

Mystery, the supernatural and lies

I really enjoyed listening to this book and all the twist and turns that were fascinating and unexpected. The story is well written and developed. I loved how the author developed the story over time and not all at once because it keeps you listening and wanting to know more. The character of Lassi is a wow because she really has no filter from inappropriate thoughts to actions. In this book nothing is as it seems and Lassi puts it upon herself to find the serial murderer of the villagers but will she believe the truth. Alex Black is a dynamic narrator who really brings life into the story with his voices and accents. I highly recommend this book to anyone over 18 who loves mysteries, and the supernatural.

Great listen

It took a few chapters to really get into it. Once I did, I listened to the whole thing straight through. It has all the ingredients for a great paranormal romance/mystery, and the narrator did quite well with the female voices and the Irish accents. I really enjoyed this one.

Cant get a Cuppa!

Such a fun supernatural/romance/mystery. I really enjoyed the characters, even the irritating ones. The main character was witty and sarcastic and just generally made me chuckle, though I they she did much better without her cuppa then she gave herself credit for. I really like a storyline that flows smoothly, well and is unexpected even to the end. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Alex Black has impressed me, I'll be looking for more of his work.

Spectacular

Lassi just wants to go home but that seems impossible right now. Plenty of suspense and Vampires to keep you listening . The narrator ‘s voice is easy to listen to.
