Publisher's summary

I’m straight. So, when a gay guy on the train asked me out on a date, why the hell did I say yes? And why am I excited about seeing him again?

Okay, let’s start again....

I thought I was straight for all of my 26 years. I dated women. I slept with women. And yeah, occasionally I’d wondered what it would be like to experiment with a guy. We’ve all done it, right? A couple of times, at least? Only, I never did more than wonder.

But after one conversation with him...

I still don’t know why I said yes. It wasn’t as if he was flirting with me - well, not much. All we did was talk. And then, he asked me out.

Okay, so it would be a new experience. I can roll with that. But what if he wants to sleep with me? How about that?

I’m nervous. I’m confused. And as for the whole "I’m straight" thing?

Yeah. I’m rethinking that. Big time.

And I can’t wait for Saturday till I see him again.

I Liked It

This was a sweet GFY story and I enjoyed listening to it. I loved first half of the story, adorable meet cute and the start of Daniel and Lee's relationship with all the questions, doubts and revelations. I felt the middle part dragged a bit and I was starting to loose my interest, until the story picked up the pace in the last several chapters and the ending was very good. I liked narrator's voice and he did a good job with all the characters. Overall this was an enjoyable listening experience.

Fabulous Listen!

I loved everything about this book! I didn't want it to end. It starts off with an adorable meet cute on a train ride that is only 19 minutes long. Daniel asks Lee out on a date. Lee, who identifies to this point as straight, says yes...he is just drawn to Daniel. What follows is just such a wonderfully romantic, heartwarming courtship between Daniel and Lee. There was no angst or drama, just the development of a relationship between the 2 MCs. There were honest and real conversations as Lee struggled to come to terms with his sexuality...between Lee and Daniel, between Lee and his friends, between Lee and his sister...they were so real and refreshing. Daniel was a fabulous character...he was so loving and patient and kind. The way their relationship evolved was so perfect, their connection was so real, their intimacy so genuine. There was some very steamy scenes, but they were balanced so well with the story they made my heart flutter! There was also a lightness about the book that just made everything flow perfectly!
This is such a well written book. It just left me feeling happy, smiley and so good! I enjoyed every bit of it!

Seb Yarrick is a new narrator for me and he did a great job bringing Daniel and Lee's story to life!

Gay On A Train

This is a sweet story about finding yourself and grabbing for happiness. Lee begins a journey when he meets Daniel. The chemistry between the two is strong and cannot be denied. Soon Lee is questioning his sexuality and what he has always believed about himself.

Their story moves along at a quick pace and has little angst. It is a sexy and fun listen; it is not a deep introspective look at life. This is a nice, sweet story about finding love and understanding and accepting who you are. I enjoyed the way the relationship between Daniel and Lee progressed through the story. As Lee begins a relationship with Daniel, he finds that love can find you anywhere. Narrator Seb Yarrick keeps the story flowing nicely and kept me engaged throughout the story.

Very cute

Okay so the story was very cute. I really enjoyed it but Seb Yarrick was flawless. The way he says the word 'fuck' is the best thing I've ever heard.

Some of the parts in the story were a little too cute and unbelievable but it did not take away from the story for me.

Lee and Daniel

Beautiful story of Lee who believes he's straight at the start and definitely gay Daniel, they meet on a train and the rest is history. The ending had me in happy tears. Loved the new to me narrator.

A Touch of Glitter Mix with sweet.

What can I say about this book.. everything and nothing at the same time.
I enjoyed listening to every word. I wanted more of their story and like all stories it eventually comes to an end.
Question for the author: Will the secondary characters have their story told or may a Novella?
I do love Lee's roommates.

Getting back to my review.
These two characters, Lee and Daniel met on a train, they had an instant connection which prompted Lee to accept Daniel's invitation to go on a date with him...[[[I'm thinking; Daniel saw Lee on the train on more than one occasion, he had an instant attraction to him and finally one day he got up the nerve to actually speak to him...]]] (That's what I think and I'm sticking to it...LOL)
Daniel being straight, was a little shock after he accepted the invite.
After getting to know each other things started to progress from first kiss with a guy to meeting the parents.
Their story unfolded into a sweet, low angst, Bi-awakening with a touch of laughter thrown in that was hard to put down.
This book is something I can find myself re-reading over again... too sweet to leave alone on a bookshelf somewhere..

Thank you KC Wells, it was a great read/listen.
Thank you for giving us these two characters.
My compliments to the narrator Seb Yarrick, you did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life.

Best book with worst title ever

I was hesitant to read this one because if the title. It just sounded so cheesy to me. But the story and the characters are delightful, cute, and engaging. I’m not really a fan of the gfy tropes but this story doesn’t quite go there and it is all handled in a reasonably believable way. In the end, I enjoyed the story and characters so much that I would love to see them again in further stories.

Good book with a bad title

As another review mentioned, the title of this book is weird. I don’t know what an alternate title would be however so I’ll leave that up to the author in their infinite wisdom.

This is a cute story of two nerds who fall in love. I appreciated that there was little to no angst in the book, which made it actually feel refreshing. It’s funny and hot at times as well.
