Publisher's summary

He was her last chance. She was his first certainty.

Cora, Lady Dane, gave up her dreams of happily ever after a long time ago. Now newly widowed, the young mother is determined to finally live on her own terms... until a devastating betrayal shatters her hopes for the future. Faced with the prospect of losing her beloved children to overbearing relatives, Cora needs the help of the one thing she swore she'd never have again: a husband.

Nathaniel Travers hasn't a care—or responsibility—in the world. Content with his wayward lifestyle, the charismatic rogue has no interest in marriage or duty. That is until the earl cuts off his bank accounts. No stranger to wild escapades, Nate is game for any scheme that keeps him afloat... even a madcap ruse with a stubborn viscountess.

A fake engagement should be a straightforward solution to both of their dilemmas. But a summer at Cora's estate tests their arrangement, and it isn't long before their simmering attraction escalates to a feverish crescendo. When they are forced to confront the real complications of their faux betrothal, Nate has to make the first worthy gamble of his life... if only Cora can risk her guarded heart.

Forever Your Rogue is a swoony, sexy, and heartfelt Regency romance that can be enjoyed as a standalone.

I love your book

But your narrator for Nick is incredible. He makes this character come to life. I listen to your book just to hear how this character makes such a change. How the character loves his 4 children and his love.
The epilogue is 20 year leap that is full of so much love. Will Watt’s tone is lovely for bringing the love of the family to life.
Well done.

One of my favorite historical romances

I feel like this book was written just for me. Like Erin Langston asked me “what is your perfect HR novel?” And then she went ahead and wrote it for me.

Oh my goodness!! I loved it. I loved everything about it. I loved all the characters. I loved the epistolary aspect of it with a letter at the start of each chapter. I loved all the tenderness and sweet words. I loved.it.all!

I loved the characters in this book. Especially Nate! He was a perfect mix of Leo Hathaway, West Ravenel, and Colin Sandhurst. If you like a laid back, Devil may care, teasing Hero then this hero is IT!! The heroine was wonderful too. A strong woman who fights for her kids and puts everyone else first. She deserved to be happy and loved and it was so satisfying watching her learn to trust Nate. And even more satisfying watching Nate learn to love her and the kids.

Things I loved about this book that I thought set it apart from others:
-The biggest thing that got me was the intimacy between Nate and Cora. It wrecked me. The love scenes were so so intimate. Looking into each others eyes, whispering things, communicating….omg. It was one of the best sex scenes I’ve read. I’m so tired of reading about sex acts with no emotion involved. I think there were three or four sex scenes in this book but the first was the longest and most special. I like intimacy so for me this was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

-The way that the H and h really realized their feelings and didn’t avoid them or shrug them off. They were shocked by them and scared by them but they didn’t deny or fight them. Once Nate realized how important Cora and the kids were he decided to stay and fight for them. He started off as such a rake and loser, but by half way in he turned into a cinnamon roll and I loved getting to enjoy all the gooey sweetness for the second half of the book. Omg Nate was a DREAM!! So tender. So loving. 🥰🥰🥰

-They gave each other the benefit of the doubt. Nate understood Cora and he really truly KNEW her. It was like magic. For a woman to be so understood by a man made my heart throb lol. Cora doubted him several times but it didn’t take long for her to stop and think “no, I know him. I KNOW him” and then they communicated. I loved that she didn’t go running with assumptions to create drama and angst.

-The epilogue!!! How amazing to see their family 20+ years down the road and not just 6 months. It was so great!

Overall I loooooved this book!! I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could! It was utterly romantic. Beautifully written. And gave me all the feels I hope to have when reading a historical romance!

Lovely, sweet and so good

What a cute book! It is historical but has a great story, characters and evil villains. Lady Cora's terrible philandering husband has died (in an accident going to see his mistress!!) and the villains are his sister and her vicar husband. They are awful people and only want to take Cora's children so they can control her 4yr old son's money.
The "hero" is a rogue, not a bad guy just a slacker and good time rake. He is the brother of Cora's best friend and is enlisted under duress to pretend to be her fiance to stall her evil in-laws from taking her children.
This book was funny, swoony and hot and added bonus the male narrator was Will M Watt who does the BEST english voice for the hero.

One of the best!

I came across this while looking through Will Watt audible books (yes, more Will Watt pls!) and the reviews are correct - this book is wonderful! The characters are refreshingly complex, the story is solidly grounded in its historical context yet entirely relatable, and oh man is it steamy! Not to mention it’s a good few hours longer than most historical romances out there, because it’s just that well written and performed. Worth all the credits!

Make narration was exceptional!

Amazing HR!! One of the best I’ve ever read…wish I would have read it instead but the male narrator made it come to life.

Nate parts are exquisite

This story is beautiful and perfect and WRECKED me. The performance for Nate is exquisite. Cora is… well just listen to the Cora reader at 1.7 or higher and it’s fine

Narrators leave you wanting more

I've read this three times now, twice reading and once listening. And it's even better the third time. Justine Eyre and Will M. Watt are magical in bringing Cora and Nate to life. Love, love, love!

Erin Langston's accolades for Forever Your Rogue are well earned. I can't wait read more.

So, yay!, there are two novellas to accompany this book. A prequel, A Day Until Forever, telling Raymond and Rosalie's story with a glimpse of Nate and Tabby as children. A sequel, Some Winter's Evening, with Cora's brother Gavin finding his Emilia and bringing us along to Aldworth Park for Christmas with the Nate and Cora and tribe. I hope these both get an audio version someday.

The story

Good story, I recommend it.
I didn’t like the woman’s voice though, it sounded way older than the character.
