Publisher's summary

The first night after Caroline moves into her fantastic new San Francisco apartment, she realizes she’s gaining an - um - intimate knowledge of her new neighbor’s nocturnal adventures. Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy’s athletic prowess, she can hear not just his bed banging against the wall but the ecstatic response of what seems (as loud night after loud night goes by) like an endless parade of women. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed "dating hiatus," and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. The tension between them is as thick as the walls are thin, and the results just as mixed. Suddenly, Caroline is finding she may have discovered a whole new definition of neighborly....

In a delicious mix of silly and steamy, Alice Clayton dishes out a hot and hilarious tale of exasperation at first sight...

Great narrator.

Quality book. Liked the master and Clive the cat and the friendship circle. Set in Bay Area and Lake Tahoe.

I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Just brilliant!

This book has just the right mix of romance and humor. The writing is hilarious and the romance is a nice slow burn. I loved the build up between the two main characters. If you are a romance junkie like me then you will love this one. It's definitely swoon-worthy! I can't wait to read/listen to more books from this author. Just brilliant!

It's credit worthy and then some.....

Totally hilarious!!

This is definitely one of the best books I have listened to lately. So funny but very sexy. The book starts off great and you just can't help but laugh at the situations Caroline hears through her walls. Then her conversations with her friends about what is happening is great. It is nice to hear a sexy book about two fairly normal people instead of two people who have such tragic pasts. This author reminds me a lot of Molly Harper. Tons of funny, laugh out loud parts but she is also good at creating sexual chemistry. The narrator was also very good. She won me over in the first couple scenes where Caroline hears her neighbors wall banging. Totally worth the credit!!! This is one book you will need to remember where you are when listening because you will find yourself laughing out loud on several occasions. My husband laughed at me several times while I was laughing.

Too boring for words

Could have been a good story but dragged. couldn't finish.
I like action not a bunch of food talk.

Laughed the whole time!

The antics of the characters had me laughing the whole time. My family believed I was going nuts laughing out loud as did my housework while listening to this book. The narrator did a great job in being sarcastic and indignant in all the right spots. I am definitely going to begin following this author.

Hilarious... But a wee bit corny...

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Sure, why not. It's not the best book I've read (well, listened to) all year but it wasn't awful. It's a lighthearted story with more than just a few funny moments that made me crack up! I enjoyed it, all-in-all.

What could Alice Clayton have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I wish there were more to the storyline than just a girl who lost her "O".. (Really?) and a guy who doesn't want a relationship because he travels too much.

Which character – as performed by Heather Smith – was your favorite?

My favorite was Simon. HOT HOT HOT!

Do you think Wallbanger needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. I can't imagine what storyline Clayton can come up with to make a second book based on this first book.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book and had quite a few laugh out loud moments but overall, the book was missing a backbone. It was cute, but lacked allure. There was no danger or dark past. No curve balls... It was pretty predictable and a little cheesy.

It's a really bumpy listen

The first half was wonderful and full of chemistry. The second half was hard to sit through. Part of it was way too much waiting and nervousness for two people who had plenty of sexual experience. The very end was literally flooded with sex. Like too much imo. One sex scene after the next. She took us through pretty much every time they did it in their marathon sex day. Spread them out. Make it interesting. Or just give us one or two sex scenes. I've read stories with a sex scene in literally every chapter that wasn't so overbearing with it.

Why is this old lady talking about sex?

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I'd change the narrator. The overall story wasn't horrible but the narrator sound more 50 than 26. It made the whole thing feel yucky. Also, the dialogue would have been better using more age appropriate words. A 26 year old would never use the vocabulary being used, especially when talking to friends.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Eh...it was to be expected.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Heather Smith?

A younger voice.

Do you think Wallbanger needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

NO.
