Publisher's summary

Love has a way of derailing the best of plans. Wynter Thompson, divorced with a young child, struggles to balance the demands of her surgical residency with the responsibilities of motherhood - and between the two, discovers there is little time left for anything else. She manages to convince herself that she has everything she needs, because another chance at love is definitely not in her game plan.

Pearce Rifkin is a woman with a plan, and it doesn’t include a serious relationship. Chief Surgical Resident is just a stepping stone to her lifelong goal - chairmanship at one of the top ten medical centers. Determined to follow in her father’s footsteps, even though she isn’t the son he dreamed of, Pearce has no time for romance. Two women with nothing in common but a shared passion for surgery clash at every opportunity, especially when matters of the heart are suddenly at stake.

the narratorvwas superb. I think she made the book better just from the way she read.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes - but there was at least 2 skips in the audiobook, but other than that was good.

Great story

As always Radclyffe's story is wonderful. Reading was great but Nicole gave Pierce a childish voice and I think she should be the husky one.

Good story but

I liked the story a lot more than Trauma Alert which is kinda a sequel. The narrator was not that good. Made a lot of the dialog between Pearce and Winter cheesy. The story line wasn't as rushed as others she's written I would recommend but it's a 7 out of 10 for me

Ok book

As glad as I am that lesbian books are becoming available on audible, there are many more I'd rather see than this one. It's a cute story but if you've read Radclyffe once, you need not really read more if you want a different story. They seem to follow the theme of two unlikely people meeting, not getting along, falling in love, crisis, ending with living happily ever after. Again, loving that lesbian books are available but this story is old. There are also two skips on the recording making it a bit distracting.

Struggled through

The narrator made it seem like I was listening to paint dry. I think it threw the whole story off

Worst narrator

I have listened to many radclyffes stories and love her as an author. This story the narrator made the story horrid. I had to stop listening. I gave it a bad rating only cause the narrator was horrible.

Not as good as some of her later work

Story isn’t as good as later writings, but I think I’d be willing to give it a read. I’d probably enjoy that form more.
Narration is really bad. Mispronunciations, uncorrected errors, and indistinct character voices. I couldn’t stop noticing HOW it was being read to just enjoy WHAT was being read. Why on earth would someone think giving two driven surgical residents whiny little girl voices was the right interpretation?!
Very disappointing. And I paid money for this one!

Narrator Makes or Breaks an Audio Book

I love Radclyffe books and couldn't resist buying this one. However, the stilted, unfeeling delivery of the narration completely overshadowed the story. It was hard to listen to and finally with 2 hours left, I had no choice but to fast forward to the last 30 minutes. I will never buy another book narrated by this person. How I wish they could have had Abby Craden perform this one. What a terrific job she would have done and saved this book for me. Overall, the story was pretty good and Radclyfee presented another interesting relationship and characters.

Worst narrator ever

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. Story is fine - I read the book years ago. The narration was impossible to get past and I finally gave up before half way through the audio book.

Would you recommend Turn Back Time to your friends? Why or why not?

See above.

Would you be willing to try another one of Nicole Vilencia’s performances?

Sorry, no.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Narration by Abby Craden. Her narration of Too Close To Touch was wonderful.

Any additional comments?

I wish Trauma Alert had a different narrator.
