Good listen

The opening of this book confused me for the the first 5 minutes, then it all became clearer and clearer, overall worth my time.

I could not turn it off. Great story, off the charts sex. WOW. The very best of fantasy listening.

I would strongly advise not to get if you are offended by sexual content. I have loved all the books in this series and I think it's worth my credit or purchase price!!

THE WORD 'HOT' DOESN'T EVEN COVER IT !!

These Sweets are my guilty secrets - when I'm fed up with my usual listens like Victorian, Regency, Vampires, Werewolves, Highlanders et etc etc then I find myself drifting to a Maya Banks book for a change and...... what a change it is.

They're all a very hot listen (including BDSM and MMMMF) but with an interesting storyline running through them and they're filled with great sexy,handsome, alpha characters that certainly know what, how and who they are doing.

Worth a credit? Yes, and keep em coming Maya - (figuratively speaking that is) (although the other way works as well).

If you like a lot of sex you'll love this book

This book had the most sex scenes in it which was good some of them seemed pointless it was still hot.

She never disappoints!

I'm a big fan of Maya Banks. Am working my way through all of her books. Love the Colter and KGI series so much. I'm currently collecting other books by her. She has such a way of telling a story with such wonderful characters. I've already read or listened to many of her books more than once but am thoroughly enjoying obtaining others. This was a first listen and I highly recommend it!

Would you try another book from Maya Banks and/or Caroline Wintour?

I like some of the other series books that Maya Banks has done, this series is just too out there with the sex scenes. I guess if you like that kind of thing you'd enjoy this book, but I just don't see the romance in sharing your girl with a bunch of guys, and compound the weirdness by drawing the scene out for almost 3 chapters. I skipped the sex scenes and found the story pretty good, if I could have skipped the weird thing with the other guys I would have really liked it.

Tough to swallow

This one was a little tough for me because it wasn’t completely what I’m into but doesn’t mean I can’t be curious or interested in reading something new....It definitely turned up the heat during those hot/steamy scenes, but one thing’s for sure if you don’t like erotica you may want to skip this one or skip those chapters/scenes.....Cause it gets turned up...Hubba Hubba

Great erotica and great narrator performance

What a great performance from Caroline Wintour. There are some lines I go back to listen to over and over because her narration is so . . . hot. She really gets the submissive Angelica (hope I'm spelling her name correctly). Her accents are never over the top, always appropriate.
The story is as steamy as anything you're likely to find on Audible. For people like me that's a mark in its favor. Others will find it off-putting. Your mileage may definitely vary. The story is filled with the rich characters from the Sweet series, but it's less formulaic than some of the others. It's certainly darker and hotter.

The story is actually more like a 2.68 for me, but that's not an option. So I rounded up. I was hoping for a Lora Leigh-like type of erotic book. And this story is more erotica than romance too. But it's more hardcore than I like. Meaning, sexual pleasure is based largely on giving and accepting physical pain. And, though I don't have a problem with that sexual taste, it's just not what I like to listen to. But if it's up your alley, then this story is for you. The story was not just junk used to make room for sex acts; the story was ok on its own. It passed the fast-forward test (fast-forwarding just to get through the book and not thinking I'm missing anything) until the last 2 hours or so of the story, which is not bad. Lastly, the story is believable, which is always a plus. No problems with the narrator at all.
