Love the new series!

This book was great! There were quite a few twists and turns that kept it interesting. It keep me speculating and being my own little detective along the way!

Great Story

Loved the story and love the fact that we are visited by some of our favorite leading men and women from BJ’s previous novels. I do think that these type of stories need a male and female narrator. Unless Ron Butler is the narrator we will need a female narrator to join. BJ should maybe even consider a duet. That would be refreshing to these amazing stories.

Enjoyable!

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator was a nice change for a Brenda Jackson book. Loved his voice & that laugh, very nice. I only have a couple of small criticisms about the book. At points, it seemed repetitive & the multiple sex scenes were unnecessary. In my opinion, one or two bedroom encounters is enough. I will definitely listen to the next book in the series.

Great Love Story and Mystery Solving

This is a great story about how your parents can mess up your belief in love. If you don’t experience things for yourself, you will be miserable. The story has a realistic feel and the love story is a great one. So happy Drew and Toni discussed the reason why they never wanted to fall in love and realized that their love for each other had nothing to do with the mess they grew up with. I loved the storyline and am a big Brenda Jackson fan.

BJ Style!

As always Ms. Jackson weaves a great story, however, the narrator kinda takes it down a notch or two. What's with the pronunciation of words ending in "in, en, an and n"? Jaime Lincoln Smith has a great voice and can lend a lot to a story if he works on his pronunciation of certain words. Overall I enjoyed the story and thank Ms. Jackson for her constant family connections. Looking forward to "mo better" Mr. Smith.

Excellent!

Great example of “what’s done in the dark, will come to the light” A story led by a great investigative team. Rich and powerful people who think they can get away with anything brought to justice. Another success for Brenda Jackson.

Boring

The story was just ok for me. I couldn't get into this story. It's needed more excitement.

A little flat

I’m a fan of this author. I’ve read several several of her books. This one apply it was OK but it basically ended up being predictable and just a bunch of sex encounters between the two main characters. I also didn’t care for the narrator at times it was difficult to tell which character was speaking, because he didn’t do a good job of distinguishing his voice.

Not my cup of tea

I prefer romance over crudeness. Would have liked more of the story to be around the murder.
