Publisher's summary

Darius

She’s a f--king menace.

She has no regard for her safety and dances along the tongue in the mouth of danger.

A loose cannon who torments me day in and day out.

She thinks I can’t rise to meet her challenge. She thinks I don’t know what goes on in that beautiful head of hers.

But she’s sorely mistaken.

Mistaken about who exactly she is to me.

Mistaken about how much danger she’s in.

And mistaken about what I can take.

Challenge f--king accepted.

Antoinette

It’s adorable really. How tough, “Mr. Clark Kent”, thinks he is, in his starched shirts and cashmere sweaters.

A bore to his core, he’s my favorite target of torment. I love to push his buttons and see how far I can take it.

But something about him calls to me.

Somehow I know there is more to him than meets the eye.

What will it take to make him loosen that tie and release the beast?

What harm can it actually bring?

I intend to find out.

The narrators did such an amazing job with this story!

I actually read a fine line (book 2) first and I fell in love with these characters. Listening to this book (book 1) just made me love them more! The narrators did such a great job capturing the story and the characters as I imagined them while reading. I just love the plot and the twists had me on my toes. And that cliffhanger?!?! Excellent performance all around.

Cliffhanger

3.5 *

I was a bit confused throughout the book. The more you read the more answers you get and also more questions arise. It does end in a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. I will definitely get reading the next book in the duet to see what happens.

I got this on audio. The narrators did an awesome job bringing the characters to life.

Good start…

While not as enthusiastic as other reviewers, I did enjoy this story enough to listen when the book #2 is released.

Confused

I listened to this book on audible and was very confused on where the story line was going and what was happening most of the time. I am usually one to enjoy a dark romance, but I was left with a lot of questions and no answers. The narrators did a great job, they did keep me hooked into finishing the book.

Dares voice

Love the characters, but the plot cuts off and goes in a different direction towards the end. very good listen, though.

The voices

I read this one before I listened to it and I swear listening to it I feel as though I missed so much. The voices are perfect for every character. Throughly enjoy listening to this one.

Ends Of Being

Intense, spicy, mysterious. Mercyann loaded this story with action and spice. I did get the audiobook version and these men's voices! Oof!! The characters have great banter. There is quite a bit of inner monologue from our female main character that had me rolling my eyes at her a bit but I did enjoy this story a lot! You will be left on a cliffhanger so now I need the next book!!

Perfect voices for this book!

This audiobook is perfection! The voices fit perfectly, and I can't wait to listen to more as the series continues and brings these characters to life even more. Highly suggest grabbing this one.

This is MercyAnn Summers' debut book, and you honestly aren't going to want to miss this one!

The humor is on the dark side, so that might not hit for some people, but I found myself really enjoying it, and the banter between the two main characters. They're definitely that pairing that bicker like a married couple in all the best ways.

The story might confuse you in the beginning, but that's because you don't know what the main character doesn't. It all comes together, and when it finally does, you'll be like, "Oh my gosh, how did I not see that coming?" And THEN she hits you with the cliffhanger. So, so good, and I can't wait for book two!

Fast-paced story, great narration!

I've listened to this one a couple of times now, and gotta say I love the narrators that bring this book to life. Charlie captures our sassy and bratty leading lady so well, while Josh nails the barely-kept-under-wraps Dare who tries to keep it together around Antionette. And of course... there's voEros as Tony. My god. That voice. I need more, Mercy! In the meantime, lemme re-read those fantastic books!

A+ cast all around!

Joel Whedon as the voice of Dare and Charlie L. Wood as the voice of Antoinette was everything, when reading Ends of Being it’s exactly how I pictured both of them sounding. I can’t forget to mention that VO. EROS was the voice of Tony! This was a A+ cast all around. This audiobook brought the story more to life for me while listening to it. It will live in my head rent free from this point forward and I can’t wait for the audio of the next book in the duet.
