Publisher's summary

His indestructible will cracked, his advance that no army could've stopped faltered, his sword, raised against the gods themselves, was brought low . . . Who was he? Where was he going?

The Ruby Mountains were right in front of him, and his path was clear, but his very soul had been plunged into utter darkness. Will Hadjar be able to find a way out? Will he be able to come back to the light? Or will the endless abyss devour him? His dragon heart was beating slower and slower . . .

Great MC

Absolute incredible story to follow. I love following the MC and struggling with him through his journey to the top

boring, but in too deep at this point.

this series is bogged down with so much filler and waffling on and retread story beats.

I have been hooked since day one.

Great story. I have been a fan since the first book. This is a must have but it can get a bit repetitive at times. Too much recalling old moments. The performance is a bit mono tone as well but again the story and progression overshadow any negatives.

Nothing Positive ever happens in this series

He comes feom Earth with tech in his brain and its worthless, whats the point of the tech if he uses it once every 10 years because it takes to long to calculate anything. Hajar is getting stepped on at every point/ is so weak compared to any new character that comes in and we meet for 1 chapter. This series is quickly losing intrest because Hajar is always on the bottom.
Its like always haveing a pessimistic person in your life why would you want that type of person around when they are always negative. This series gives off the same vibes it's only downhill and nothing positive happens why would you want to continue reading.

WTF enough with the rinse and repeat

oh his feelings are hurt again, more pointless visions, become super strong at the end to fight an opponent you shouldn't be able too beat, see old friends but I stead of going speak to them stare at them from a distance, constant obvious betrayal, and so much more, every book seems like a copy of the last

Author is forcing the length

Its a great series, but what started out as a fun series with magic and battles, now has a few battles and then the rest of the book is how the main character is having mental health issues and the series also has so many damn plains of existence and worlds and realms, its almost not fun anymore. I get building the world, but this is pushing it way too far

Keep your finger on the skip button!

There is a good story in there somewhere. But you have to sift through all the unnecessary filler and bs dream sequences to find it. Also you will have to suffer through listening to the narrator swallow sounds and mouth smacking.

Despite all of that the ending ( the last hour) was pretty decent.
