Publisher's summary

Coming of age is hard enough when you don't have to face monsters....

When your family ends up stranded in a magical world, you don't have much choice.

Jackson's class as an Ironwood Monk puts him right in the front line. He gets stronger the more he gets hit and can pass that on to the rest of the team. That is if he can get his mom to actually let him fight.

No one, least of all Jackson, fully understands the importance he holds for his family's future or that of all Talos. He will have to navigate challenges both in dungeons and the halls of power if he is to find a new home.

The next LitRPG series from the Amazon best-selling author of Life in Exile, Sean Oswald, is here. It’s perfect for fans of Dakota Krout, Luke Chmilenko, and Troy Osgood.

About the series: This LitRPG is set in the world of Eloria, which features character sheets, stats, spell descriptions, loot drops, and XP but is not in a game. It is set in the same universe as Sean Oswald's best-selling Life in Exile series but can be listened to alone as its own story arc.

starts slow but ends really well

initially I could not get interested in this book even though I loved the previous three books in the series a lot however about 40% into the book things start getting interesting I was not a big fan of the Karen story but the rest of the book was really good. one of the better lit RPG series out there

Great way to continue!

This was such a great off shoot while still continuing the main story... I hope there are more to come!

Life in exile book 5

This is a straight continuation of the life in exile series it is weird that the author went this route with the title. Anyway more of what come to expect from the Nelson family and a little more of their new home.

Oswald has upped his game

This is a continuation of the watchers series.

I really enjoyed the first arc, but the author has really come into his element now.

The story grows, we meet new characters, and we expand the world.

Still focused on the Nelsons, but we have new characters and races, and this was just a fun read.

Highly recommended

Great continuation

I’m so glad that he continued his series by creating this one, I am looking forward to following the journey of the Nelson family and excited to see how they grow

good book, better if you've read the first 4

I'm not sure why the author decided to present this as the beginning of a series. there are 4 other books that preceded it, all of which can be had as a publishers pack for 1 credit. this is a good book but has LOTS of POV's which can make it seem like a bit of a slog.

it all makes more sense if you've listened to the previous books first. I wouldn't recommend trying to jump into the series with this one

Love this family

The use of foreshadowing and flashbacks has made this story enjoyable. It doesn’t break up the sequence of events while doing so either.
Jackson is just a kid in my eyes but he is making a lot of growth in this new world, and even becoming a man!
While Sarah is also growing and changing into her new life as a monster friend. She is going to be a handful in the next book for sure!

fun romp with the Nelson family

A continuation of the Watcher series, but this time more focused on Jackson. Listening to Stat blocks is a little rough, but that's all LitRPGs. I love the way the family interacts with each other, it reminds me of my own, just add magic.
Excited to see what comes next!

This series is a continuation

The fact that this is not a new series but a continuation of another one but it is listed as book 1 of a series is somewhat of a crime. It is a new ark of that series but I think it is very unfortunate for any who didn't realize and stumble in on this. That said, this series is fairly good I would just recommend finding the rest of the series by looking up the author's content first.
