Publisher's summary

My new billionaire boss is hot as sin. He also happens to be the devil himself.

And there’s only one thing he wants…

Me.

I never meant to get caught stealing a priceless artifact from Lucas Hale, Los Angeles’ most notorious playboy billionaire. And I definitely never expected him to offer me a job as a way to pay off my debt.

But if it keeps me out of jail, I can play the role of assistant to this cocky, gorgeous man. It can’t be that hard, right?

Even if the chemistry between us is so intense that just being in the same room with him makes my blood heat.

Even if I accidentally walk in on him “taking care of himself” during my first week in the office…and I swear I hear him groan my name.

Even if I don’t quite understand how he moves so fast when he saves me from a psycho who tries to attack me on the street.

On second thought, maybe I’m in over my head with this new job. Because I’m starting to get the feeling there’s a lot more to Lucas Hale than meets the eye. A darker, more dangerous side of him than anyone knows.

And the most terrifying part?

That’s the side of him that tempts me.

Dark Prince is a steamy paranormal romance where the villain gets the girl. It's the first book in the Chosen by Lucifer trilogy.

Kinda compassionate Lucifer

I liked the different take on Satans son m. How he was necessarily cruel and kind when needed. That doesn’t mean he was ever weak, but he had a weakness and that was his love. It was an okay story. 18+

Lucifer as an alpha male billionaire boss with BDE!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: ❤️💙💜💚
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😠☺️😋🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Sophia - she works at an upscale restaurant in Los Angeles and is used to entitled customers. Like actors who complain that the soup is cold when they order Gazpacho. While leaving work one night, she is nearly hit by a car when someone hits her from behind, pushing her out of the path of the car.

The Hero: Lucas (a.k.a. Lucifer) - he is tall, dark and handsome, the most beautiful man Sophie has ever seen. He also happens to be a billionaire and a high-profile ladies' man. He has a lot of power in Los Angeles and is known for his investments, philanthropy and business acumen.

The Story: After saving Sophia from near death by car, Lucas can’t seem to get her off his mind. It has been a very long time since a human has been able to surprise him, but Sophia did. He even surprised himself when he used supernatural speed to save her from harm. When Sophia’s younger sister comes to her beaten and bruised, claiming that some guys say she owes them money or drugs, Sophia agrees to help her, especially since she figures it is her ex-boyfriend Jason that is the cause of the problem.

The bad guys tell Sophia that they will forgive the debt if she gets him something he needs. It is an extremely valuable artifact that is missing from his collection. The object is in Lucas Hale’s office in his private lounge and she has to get it for him within 24 hours. However, when Sophia goes to get the object, she is caught. Though Lucas offers to pay the debt for her if she works it off in his office.

I have always liked stories about Lucifer on Earth and falling in love. I loved the Lucifer TV show as well. Though I must say that even though Lucifer was a total alpha male billionaire boss in this one, he also was facing some opposition and had some enemies after him. He didn’t seem to know what was going on and who had it out for him, so that seemed a bit weird. I mean who would think they could best the Devil?

Though Lucifer’s background story was an odd one and not the one we all know about being banished from Heaven. He said his father was named Cephalus (not God), and there was a war that lasted hundreds of thousands of years and Lucifer and Uriel were princes of Hell and they along with their father were at war with Heaven trying to overtake Heaven or something like that. Lucifer decided that he could no longer fight with his father, which is why he isn’t in Hell anymore. Very odd story, I am not quite sure why a writer would change the story we all know.

This was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Lia Holland and C.J. Grey. Lia Holland has a clear, feminine voice which is pleasant and sounds age appropriate for Sophia. C.J. Grey does a lot of romance narration, so I am familiar with his work, and he always does a great job.

Unsure

The tone of speech was robotic at times, making it very difficult to stay invested with the story.

Absolutely loved it

It was very different than the other books I’ve read. The imagery was great. And I loved the dirtiness. I mean he is the Devil.

Little much on the entire story was nothing but raunchy sex.

Not my kind of book. I like a little love but this was too much.

ugh

I know we all have different styles and that's great. I rely a lot on other people's reviews before picking a book. here I was thinking that this would be the book for me due to the overall high rating. I have an hour left and I don't even think I can finish. Not even my curiosity to find out what eventually happens in the end can keep my attention. Both of the narrators are less than ideal. In my opinion it wasn't worth the credit
