Publisher's summary

He’s raising a baby, not looking for love.…

I don’t want a serious relationship, and certainly not with the single dad next door. But one look at Gordo? I’m smitten. Even though I might be a tough looking tattoo artist, I know that the ink does a lot to hide my own insecurities. It doesn’t matter how much Gordo seems to like me - I can’t bring myself to make a move.

Talking has never come easy to me - and I mean that literally. But Gordo doesn’t seem fazed by my speech problems or the mess in my head, and soon we’re forming a deep connection. But I learned a long time ago that nothing lasts forever…and when a blast from Gordo’s past shows up, it proves that everything was too good to be true.

At least, that’s what the old me would say. This time, I know that Gordo and his little baby are worth fighting for. I’m willing to walk through fire to get what I want. But can a tattoo artist with a checkered past really be any guy’s happily ever after?

Daddy Ink is the first of the Get Ink’d m/m romance series. The Get Ink’d crew are misfits from all walks of life who come together to create amazing art. They’re a family born of love, loss, and ink. In this first in series, ambitious single dad Gordo has met his match in heavily inked Javi, and sparks are ready to fly.

Terrific story

This story was so full of emotion! A truly amazing book and the narrator's gravely timbre was perfect for the characters, especially Javi. I loved it!

great Listen...

Daddy Ink is the first of the Get Ink’d series by Ali Lyda. This is a contemporary m/m romance about a single dad and his tattoo artist neighbor. Gordo and Javi are great characters who I rooted for and loved together. The story held my attention and gave me reason to keep listening. I love it and need more books now. Jack J Maguire narrates this tale and does a good job - entertaining and satisfying listen.

Long slow burn

I enjoyed the story here and both Javi and Gordo certainly had their issues to work through. This led to a very slow burn romance between them and was perhaps drawn out more than it needed to. The peeks into Chris and Dane’s relationship has me looking forward to their whole story. The narrator did an adequate job though his performance isn’t one I anticipate listening to again often.

Good book. The narrator did a very good job of bringing the characters to life.

I received an audio arc in exchange for an honest review.

So excited!

I loved this book when it came out! I liked that it took the guys a while to come together as a couple. So when it came out on audio I was super excited to grab it. Jack did a great job with the guys and all there wonderful little quirks they seem to have in the book. I can't wait for the next book.

Gordo and Javi

Daddy Ink is book 1 in the Get Ink'd series. This book has all the feels and will definitely tug at your heart strings. Gordo, a sigle dad with an infant daughter, moves in next door to Javi, a tattoo artist and community center volunteer. Gordo and Javi are not only neighbors but they will be working together to help the community center get some much needed funding. When Gordo's ex-husband shows up to try to get him back Javi thinks he may have lost him but love has other plan. I just love Gordo and Javi together.
Narrator Jack J. Maguire does a good job though his accent and pronunciation on some words did drive me a little crazy.

Loved It!

What a great start to a new series! Gordo and Javi are complete opposites at first glance. When they get to know each other better they see that they are more alike than they thought. Family/community is so important to each of these men. Add in a new baby girl and I'm a gonner! Jack J. Maguire does an amazing job of narrating this story.
I enjoyed this sweet love story and I'm looking forward to what comes next in this series!

Slow & steady

This one felt longer than it should have been. The pace was slow. Understandably so, since both MCs are working through their own issues. But it just felt a tad drawn out. Definitely a slow, slow burn.

Javi was a wonderful character, even if riddled with a lot of self esteem issues. He has a big heart and apparently, quite the artist. But boy does he do a lot of running.

Gordo was another great character. All the insecurities and nervous energy of being a first time parent, it made him always on edge. I stressed for him.

As much as it was very slow paced, I enjoyed how their relationship progressed. I was thrilled when they finally got their HEA.

This is my first book that is a Jack Maguire narration. He did great in establishing voices for each characters. My only issue was his accent, I realize it’s to establish the character’s local diction.. but I struggled understanding a lot of the words he was saying, I had to scan the ebook to figure out what it was. And it made me cringe every time he says Giuriana. 😑

Great story but narrator needs vocab lessons.

The storyline is great and has all the feels. The narrator pronounces so many words wrong. He is consistent throughout the book with the mispronounciations though, so there's that.
