Two-time New York Times best-selling authors Roger Connors and Tom Smith show how leaders can achieve record-breaking results by quickly and effectively shaping their organizational culture to capitalize on their greatest asset - their people. Change the Culture, Change the Game joins their classic book The Oz Principle and their recent best seller How Did That Happen? to complete the most comprehensive series ever written on workplace accountability.
Based on their earlier book Journey to the Emerald City, this fully revised installment captures what the authors have learned while working with hundreds of thousands of people on using organizational culture as a strategic advantage.

The author spends so much time telling you about his first book it makes you wonder why he bothered to write the second one. After reading the second one I had to wonder if the first one was all fluff too.
I have not.
There is something to learn here but this book was written to extend the revenue stream from those who read the first book.
Yes, it was most useful. My only warning is that there are so many diagrams and lists you will most likely need to buy the book too
There was too much reference to the C1 or C2 or B3 etc - it for a little confusing and I made a copy of the chart pyramid to go back and quick reference while studying. I used it as a weekly review in my managers meetings. Each week a different manager reviewed the next chapter. We are implementing the things we learned and it had good content- just too much reference to the 'letters-#'S' and not enough of the word itself for repetition.
This book gives the how to tackle changes to cultural issues. It is an excellent resource for those who struggle with the actual implementation, creation, and sustaining of any culture change movement. It is an easy listen for anyone who is very analytical, those who are a bit more creative may struggle at following the book while listening, I suggest purchasing for them for easier reference.
This book contains practical tools and ideas for changing culture that engage leaders and individual contributors in shifting culture.
Journey to the Emerald City focuses on creating a culture of accountability. Change the Culture Change the Game addresses broader culture change while highlighting the need to begin culture change with a focus on accountability.
I first read in english,I enjoy so much that when I saw in portuguies I bought, that surch for it in audio. IT IS GRATE, every morning I walk 2 miles one dowhill one uphill with my audio series, probably every two weeks I here this audio again to lear a little more of the grate tools.
Yes my first grate perception that to change I must go more deep as results come from culture and beliefs. First I get a conviction of how careful I must be when admit someone to work with me. Second that to get the results I want I must change my culture and the culture of the teams I manage. Third that is a real work of leaders. It make's me feel strong and confident.
I such for tools to change for two reasons, first, to prepare myself to get better results of what I want. Second in this chaotic changing world fell necessary to stay renewing my attitudes and way of thinking to be prepared and take advantage of the opportunities and difficulties. Change the culture and change the game is helping me a lot. I could understand what primary ground support for results, culture and beliefs. More than change actions I need to change my beliefs and the beliefs of others or groups to generate different results. I start with mine. Anxiety: Nothing more than see a bad end of something. So I am changing may way to think I reframe that can get grate results and check for opportunities that a difficult can have. Stress: my stress was making damage to my health and getting difficult times with family and teams, and making me to have fewer results. It comes with different sensations from problems that seems I can’t control results. My thinking changes; the world is chaotic it is a reality I must fill grate to the challenges and difficulties that make me advance and grow. To prepare myself for chaos I run a motorcycle in the middle o a grate traffic with trucks buses and accept chaos as an adventure that hapeens if I want or not. I change my vision to be to serious for see life as a game, see everything like a chess movement, accept and handle difficulties as an way for new improvement. Change beliefs to me is very difficult I must exercise constantly, but I change, now I have very few anxiety and stress that is helping me much to have better attitudes get faster and better results with myself, others, and teams. I read lots of books for getting better results and consider this one audio one of the 5 that I must constant use as my guide. I AM CHANGING MY GAME
Key theoretical information of the way people and organisations respond to change and culture accompanied with tools that one can use. Clear examples of companies using these tools makes this an enjoyable and practical read.
Practical tools that can be used on even small scale
HIghly recommended. Its great to read a book with theory, examples and practical tools.
"Good content, but the use of codes was very off-putting. Only resilience got me through it."
Good content, but the use of codes was very off-putting. Only resilience & determination got me through it, and I'm into this stuff.
Key take always:
What do you think?
Why do you think it?
What would you do
As I always suspected big noise PR for change is a waste of energy and only brings about superficial change if any, and does not last. Change experiences to change beliefs.
Focused story telling
Incremental change is not enough for a transformation, it will only get you so far.
"The narrator repeats the title over & over again.."
Dull and lifeless I would urge people not to download...
A lack of any substance..
