Publisher's summary

She’s been promised a dream wedding. The catch? She was abducted from Earth, and her groom is a hot alien warrior with a bad attitude.

Taken to a high-tech space station designed to entice human women, LA socialite Mandy is anything but impressed. She’s not falling for their holographic fantasy suites, their promise of a dream wedding, or their gorgeous, brawny warriors. Especially not the arrogant, hot-shot commander she’s been matched with. He may be used to being obeyed, but no way is she following his orders. She could care less that he's huge and ripped and drop-dead gorgeous. Right?

The last thing Dorn wants is a mate. As a Drexian commander tasked with defending his people from a menacing enemy, he has no use for a frail human mate. Even if they are his species’ last chance for survival. Especially not one as spoiled as her.

But unfortunately for him, he has no choice. Not if he wants to get back to his battleship and save both Earth and the Drexian race from extinction.

This stand-alone action romance novel features steamy scenes on a holographic fantasy space station, a high-strung alien wedding planner with a penchant for platform shoes, deadly aliens hell-bent on invading Earth, and smoking-hot Drexian warriors with extra erogenous zones who are equally determined to protect Earth.

If you like hot alien warriors, kick-ass Earth women, and steamy romance with a "happily ever after" and a few laughs, you’ll love Tamed, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series.

Good But With Some Issues

This book left me with conflicting emotions. In the end I thought there was some, good, some bad and sadly quite a bit of wasted potential. As for the good: I liked the hero. Dorn was a warrior, alpha male that was focused on his duties to his family, species and world. He was hot and seemed like a decent guy. The heat level: Trust me when I say things get sizzling and steamy. The World: I found the setting intriguing. And Lastly: The Battle Of Wills. It was fun to see these two clash together. Now the bad: The heroine. Considering her situation you are inclined to feel for Mandy and I kind of did, or at least as much as I could because she was just so very unlikable. Privileged, spoilt and a straight-up brat, this character was very hard to take. Emotion: I felt that there was a lack of a real connection between the couple. Desire, yes. Attraction, yes. Love, not so much. So, in the end, I liked this book but felt some of its potential was squandered. I will certainly give other books in this series a chance because my most troubling issue was the heroine. The book is performed by a single narrator and I felt that they did a good job in bringing the story to life.

Audio Porn!!!

I love this book. First off, the narrator sounds so sexy in male and female voices! I will be ordering the second book!Best scene for me was when Mandy's father cut her off from his money and once her best friend found out she dumped Mandy as well. Huge plot twist and wake up call.

Sci-fi romance!

This is a well written story that takes you on a wild ride. This is a fantastic story that has intrigue, adventure, suspense and romance. It also has super hot alien that are built like a dream.
The narrator does a spectacular job with the characters and voices of each character which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters. She does fantastic voices of male and female.
I fell in love with this audiobook and I can’t wait for more from this author and narrator. I don’t go into details about the story because I don’t want to get anything away plus you can read summary. I just know that if you like sci-fi romance you will love this book.
I definitely recommend this audiobook!!

Okay

There heroine starts out a brat, but does grow out of it by the end so I got over my initial annoyance. There was nothing really wrong with this book but nothing really stood out either. It's similar to other books in the genre and too generic.

Loved It! - UPDATED

UPDATE: The Narrator is the bomb! She isn't just reading, she is voice acting! All the voices she has done for the characters are carried into the next book and it is amazing. I love it because it makes the immersion into the book so incredibly easy.

Original review:
It is fun, sassy, and very sexy! I'm hooked and will listen to the next book for sure. Just like any good romance movie (or book really), the characters have to grow so I would just say stick with it if you get annoyed at first. I mean, it's about a cut off LA socialite dealing with a Chain of Command military man, so they have a hill to climb, but damn if it isn't worth the bedroom side trips along the way. I think the catch phrase is "That's Hot" ;)

Off to a good start

I have actually listened to all but one of the books in this series; regret not listening to this book first based on unfavorable reviews. Jodie did a good job with narration; although narration did improve with two narrators. Now on to Random, the last book not listened before Tana adds new books to series.

Loved it so much, I got the rest of the series!

Dang, I was super surprised by this book. The author is new to me but anyone who can do a Sci-fi romance and mix it with The Bard's The Taming Of The Shrew gets my vote! The whole time I was like "this story seems awfully familiar?" and then I looked at the name of the book and it just clicked. I think being in on the thread just made it that much more enjoyable and I totally recommend the series. I loved it so much, I bought the rest. Not sure if the rest also have a theme but just the fact that the first book did, got me hooked! I also loved the characters and the narrator did a great job with all the voices and kept each character very distinct. 5 stars!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG!

Usually when I see something that says, "Book one" I think, I will want to read just the first book find out how it is, If it's good, I'll read the rest. Most times I can't even get into the first book. This book had me from the first chapter. I was up ALL night listening to it and I want more!

I love sci-fi books, movies and tv shows, so I hoping this book didn't suck. IT DID NO SUCK! This was a great book and I'm so glad to have it in my library.

Now to get to the next book!!!

monotone lead male

the book was okay. but the voice actor had little in the way of diversity with voices and the main male character was so monotone that it made me cringe alot. especially when he was supposed to be displaying emotion.
