Publisher's summary

The comic fantasy adventures of Gabe Skelter continue as the former Earthling loser fights his way to gory glory in an RPG made all too real.

Not all that long ago, Gabe Skelter was an unimpressive, overweight, snarky teenager with more mouth than muscle and more attitude than attributes. Then, during a deadly trainwreck, he was transported to another reality. On the world of Regaia, Gabe is a different person entirely: a massively jacked-up warrior orc known as Loon. The dud has become a stud.

But even in his new buff bod and with his growing collection of skills, Gabe still finds himself in a near-constant fight for survival against a wide variety of horrific creatures. Luckily, he's gathered a small but loyal band of fighters to cover his broad back. And he's going to need them . . .

Because the powers that brought Gabe to Regaia have their own plans for him and his former classmates who "died" in the trainwreck—now known as sojourners. Plans that could have drastic consequences not only for Gabe's loved ones but for all Regaia. Plans that will almost certainly get them all killed.

Packed with furious combat, nerd-tastic detail, and hilarious wit,

Big Sneaky Barbarian 2 is a must-listen for fans of high-octane action and nonstop smart-ass fun.

The second volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with more than 100,000 views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Includes a special note from the author.

Literally el-oh-elled the whole way through.

This is such a fun listen! Sets the perfect tone for a road trip because it's full of adventure and so many laughs. As your landscape changes outside your car window, the landscape is constantly changing in the book and wonderfully described in vivid detail. McDuffee's steady character development continues to endear you to our clumsy protagonist, and we have a bit more insight into Loon's backstory. McClain's narration is another top notch performance.

So. Damn. Funny. Listen to this.

There are very few things which can make me burst out a fat snort. Incredible story. Great narration. I mean what else could you want. Make it a tv show.

It was Ok

I found myself using the volume button a lot. As the other comments point out, there isn't much story progression. The pace he is setting, he must have a 30 book arc in mind. I did laugh and it's very likable. I still think I'll let this story set for a few years. Unless he makes book 3 much longer. If not , I'll wait for an omnibus or a sale. Narrator was great,,but there are many occasions of it going from screaming to whispers.

This is the one that hooked me!

This one has me laughing out loud! Especially at RG. And the Rua reveal really had me cheesin’! I recommend

My god this is funny.

I saw somebody else complain about tangents, but that is one of the funniest parts, the story feels like the retelling of a great DND campaign. I love the banter and the characters. Loon has grown and I love it. RG felt like a combination of Mort from Madagascar and Lemongrab fro Adventure Time if they were a insane old wizard. Can’t wait for the next and loved the narration.

Excellent continuation

If you like the first you’ll like the second all the chaos of the first in this series combined with some scenes stuffed full of feelings.

One for one time progression

A lot of good humor, but that shit sure does drag on. The entire book covers just a few hours of story. Progress sacrificed in the name of overdone verbal banter. Sweet Christmas there were more than a few times I wondered if anything was actually going to happen. The narrator was great, but also over the top just a bit too often. Production needs to figure out audio normalization. One moment raucous barbarian epitaphs, the next moment, whispering dialogue. For the love of all that is holey, please figure a consistent volume.

good 2nd book

if you liked book 1 you will enjoy book 2. it's not quite as crass as both the MC and writer mature a bit. definitely worth the listen

It just keeps getting better

Thank you. Thank you Seth for creating such an amazing story told in such a wonderful fashion. And thank you Johnathan for bringing this story to life with your talent and style. If you’re reading this review, spend the credit, start with the first book and enjoy the show. I haven’t enjoyed a series this much in a long time. Hat tip to you both.

I enjoyed it however

90% of this book is just ONE fight sequence. You could entirely skip this book and not miss a single thing. That's not an exaggeration.

I enjoy the slapstick, the banter, but not the story. It's like reading a saturday morning cartoon. It's fun and has a place, but I need way more meat on the bone.
