Publisher's summary

Sometimes two broken pieces make a whole. He's the one she's always loved. She's the one he could never have.

A forbidden night of passion resulted in years of heartbreak when he walked away. Now she's in danger and needs his help.

Trust doesn't come easy for FBI Agent Nick Stone, especially when it comes to love, but he'll risk it all for Katelyn Slade.

Including his heart.

Bullets fly, betrayals are exposed, and the flames from their past ignite.

His protection might be what saves her, but in the end, she will be his salvation.

Contains mature themes.

Loved the BroMance and the Besties. Love Ruthie ..She's my favorite. Happy the past was settled and able to move to happier future. Kayla and her nicknames love it. Also glad when the group are together.

Another Winner!

I'm not sure K.C. Lynn knows how to write anything BUT 5-star books. The flow of this story is perfect for the way it eventually plays out. And the epilogue is fan-freakin-tastic! I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series. I've listened to all of the books from her so far, and the narrators (Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton) are perfect for these books.

Loving the series

I love a series that can make you laugh out loud, cry and be a little suspenseful all in one! Love a series that also brings all the characters together yet have their own storyline.
So glad I found this author and love the Narrators.. I tend to pick a ton of books that have Teddy narrating.. never disappoints.

Love This Story!

I have been sucked into this world that KC has created... I can't stop, every story hooks me more and more!!

These characters are so amazing and the banter between them is awesome.
I love the fierce loyalty they all have... You can feel it all through the pages...

Amazing audio too!! Callie and Teddy are the best!

Strongly recommend reading!

I loved everything about this book. The narrator’s were excellent of course. Lots of heat, little suspense and love!

Ehhhh!

The original series was great (men of honor) but this entire series felt very repetitive. Logan is just like Jax, Stone cries just like Sawyer (I haven’t cried since I was 7) and has the same relationship with his mother like Caid. All the women get hurt after an argument with their “one true love” and then he muster up the courage to say I love you after the female faces a near death experience. Idk it’s like I really wish there were different backgrounds for the second series.

FMC was great until she got her own book…

I liked Katelyn in the glimpses of other books but gotdamn! She was so annoying in this book! Unnecessarily so… Nick is helping but she’s such a B!! Acting sweet with other folks… so it’s like totally fake… and the fact that she doesn’t F**kin listen UGH… Nick is like well go to FL after being shot at and hear the bad guys looking for her she has the audacity to say “I have to be at the shop?” 🙄 so freakin dumb… it’s like those cute girls acting dumb so they can be rescued… no wonder Faith didn’t hang out with her much… and she picked dumb guys because Nick even in his broken state was too good for her and Nick is dumber because he’s loving the outside - beautiful with a “good slim body” and that’s it… If she’s deeper than the shell I missed it…

Stupid to trust the FBI guy to help her when she can’t do crap? 😆😆 I’m really really debating stopping DNFing the book I don’t know because she too dumb with fake bravado that was not endearing at all… she gets herself in trouble because she doesn’t THINK!!! Like you know everyone’s on alert then she’s “terrified?” ugh… how dumb can one be? I’m like Kayla gets a novella and this one gets a whole book? 🤬all she does is sob 🙄

Also,
Cooper is HER friend? How? Why not “my friend’s husband?” She can’t even tell her story straight… “weak she once was?” She’s been weak the entire book! 🙄 I just can’t do with people and characters who make crap up like if this was it no background, fine…but we had the back story from other books…

Ugh is what I got…

Weak MFC in every book

The MMC aren't bad although the stereotypical men mode gets old. But the stupid weak MFC ruin the books.
