What happen to her self-defense training?

I thought this book started out good. Ryann was a kick butt kind of girl at first but somewhere along the line she became this week being. Now I know it would be scary after all she'd been through but self-defense classes teach to put that fear away temporarily to save yourself. When Ryann needed that knowledge she didn't use it. As far as Cash goes, he was alright but I found him a little dumb as a detective. I won't get into why because it might spoil the story. I also found him way over bossy and can't believe Ryann let him get away with it.
Over all it was a decent book. The narrators really made it better.

Never call a woman BabyGirl

While terms of endearment are nice, this guy uses "Babygirl" prematurely and excessively. Even though the main male character is supposed to be a good guy, it is often crine worthy.

Advocacy for Therapy & Trauma

Loved that this book provided advocacy for healing the wounds and trauma …. Hard to listen to this one, seemed like a robot reading …. But good listen and lesson to heal!

Romantic Suspense with an Alpha Hero

Ryann is a strong, but wounded, woman who’s battled many monsters in her life. At the cusp of beginning her career as an elementary school teacher, she’s reunited with Cash, the boy to whom she gave her first kiss. Cash, a detective, is an alpha male with a fierce protective nature. As they begin to explore a relationship, monsters appear again for Ryann…this time from perhaps new sources.

This contemporary, romantic suspense is very steamy, with sweet moments along the way. It does include topics, such as abuse and domestic violence, that could be triggers for some. Both MCs are likable, although not without their own faults and struggles. The narration was outstanding! It doesn’t get much better than Callie and Teddy!

Really Good!

This is a fantastic listen for a debut author! The story is raw and emotional and sweet and everything you love in a romance. I really enjoyed the suspense aspect as well. The narration was perfect! Love Teddy Hamilton paired with anyone and Callie did a fantastic job!

One of the best books ever.

This is my favorite K.Street book and to hear all of the emotion put into these characters ways absolutely amazing. I LOVE THIS BOOK. If you are looking for a great plot, amazing characters and a really emotional ride this is the book for you.

Amazing

This one was difficult due to some scenes. Yet I could not stop reading/listening. It is a process of healing and coming to terms with all the feelings associated with being a survivor, victim and then a survivor. I now have to read something that is much happier. The epilogue was wonderful. I am glad I read it. But there are scenes that could cause triggers for many. The narration were perfection. Two of my favorites. I read and listened. This one is something else.

I have read many better. Not completely believable.
The story seems to bounce around a lot.
