Publisher's summary

Box set contains Hostile Territory, Shot in the Dark, and Contingency Plan!

Hostile Territory

Can you call someone an enemy if you haven’t seen them for the better part of a decade?

Deacon Black is perfectly content with the status quo—work, sleep, repeat. Who cares if he’s rigid, structured, and set in his ways? It’s a job requirement that keeps his men safe and his company’s doors open. One phone call is all it takes to upend his life and land him right back into a past he has tried to forget. Revisiting old ghosts is the last thing he needs. Especially when the forced trip down memory lane includes the only woman he never wanted to see again.

Annalise Grimaldi hit the jackpot with her life—from her trust fund to her best friend, she has it all. But her world comes crashing to a halt when her best friend vanishes— leaving behind an apartment in tatters and more questions than answers. There’s only one person she can think of that can help in a situation like this. She hates to make the call, but there isn’t a thing she wouldn’t do to make sure her friend is found. Even setting aside her hatred for Deacon Black.

Shot in the Dark

As an IT expert and hacker extraordinaire, Wren Nelson is no stranger to discovering all sorts of secrets online. He’s a warrior…when he’s behind his computer, that is. And awkward at best in social situations. His long hours with Blackbridge Security don’t really provide many opportunities to go out and meet people. So what is he supposed to do when a wrong delivery—a questionably large box of bedroom toys—ends up in his hands instead of its intended target?

Online stalking has always been his go-to to accumulate information on people, but only seeing Whitney through digital displays isn’t enough. Approaching her doesn’t seem like the best plan either. What he doesn’t know is that this woman is possibly the only one in existence able to give him a run for his money.

Contingency Plan

As a former FBI agent, Flynn Coleman was made for his work with Blackbridge Security. He’s highly trained, has a skill set meant for analysis and investigation, and meant to do important things. Yet, he’s chasing a 20-year-old starlet’s daughter around New York City because the spoiled brat never learned how to behave.

Remington Blair doesn’t need a babysitter, but her parents insist. Keeping Flynn Coleman on his toes will be the most fun she’s had in a while. Besides, just hearing him call her name with that accent is enough to keep her running.

Series contains a band of brothers unwilling to just stand by and watch a woman in need, a foul-mouthed parrot who gets in everyone's business, and a level of steam you may not be ready for.

All three books are good!

Very racy books. I like that each story is different. Makes it interesting to listen to/read multiple books by the same author!

Love

I freaking loved puff daddy the bird. He’s freaking hilarious. He should be in the books so much more! I was cackling at work over some of the stuff he said.

☆Totally Worth A Credit. Just Awesome ☆

This is a 3 book box set. First let me start out by saying Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton did a stellar job narrating. Both narrators at times have to preform the female and male roles at times, but both do so well, it wont bother you. Jacob Morgan does the voices for the multiple men on the team, he is a superb narrator, Callie Dalton does a couple different female voices and does a great job with doing the main character male voice when the commentary is done by her.

☆☆☆Possible Spoiler Alett ☆☆
The first story is Deacon and Anna's story. Jacob is the own of the Security Company and gets a call from his ex wifes bff Anna, who is calling because she believe something bad has happen to the ex wife. Anna hires him to look for his ex wife, regardless of the very bad divorce they had, and not so great relationship that Anna and Deacon had while he was married to the ex. The story has some real hilarious parts and Puff Daddy the parrot is so funny.

The second story is Wren and Whitney's story. Wren is the computer genius for the security company, he is socially awkward around women, therefore he chooses to hook up with women he meets on gaming apps. Whitney is also socially awkward with the opposite sex, the few men she has dated have not fulfilled her the way she wants to be. Wren receives a package at his condo that the concierge give to him addressed to a W. Nelson, he takes the box yo work believing it to be new computer speakers, only to open the box in front of all his work associates to find a plethora of sex toys a lube, only then does he read the address label to find out who the box really belongs to, none other then Whitney, who's first initial and last name are same as his, and her address is same just a different apt number. Wren then embarks on a hunt to find out what type of person Whitney is that she needs this box of sex toys and lube.

The third story is Flynn and Remmington aka Remi story. Flynn gets sent to Hollywood area to look after Remi, she is the 20 year old daughter to her mother and step father who are both so self absorbed in them selves and worried about what is written in the tabloids that they police everything their 20 year old daughter does, that she has became a rebel with a cause, the cause being to escape and hide from every single security employee hired to look out after her and make sure she does nothing wrong so not to get written up in any smut rag tabloids. Even though she is 20 and should be able to do what ever she wants, she cant, because she didnt take school seriously nor did she go to college. So if she chooses to do what she wants, her parents will cut he off from all the money, and life style she is use to.

Favorite narrators, entertaining stories

Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton are among my favorite narrators, so I couldn't pass up a box set of three novels they narrate. I certainly wasn't a bit disappointed with the narration. I knew what to expect, and they met my expectations. The story was about what I expected--not knock-my-socks-off great, but entertaining.. Deacon Black is the founder of Blackbridge Security, and he has carefully hand-picked his team, each a talented, highly-trained expert in his field. I particularly like the way James develops the persona of each team member, often through pretty well-written banter among the men. The team's observations and teasing are integral to moving the plots along. The MC of the first book, Hositle Territory, is Deacon Black, the founder of Blackbridge Security. When Deacon receives a call from his ex-wife's best friend telling him that there has been a murder in his ex-wife's apartment, the two former enemies reconnect to try to help her. Interesting plot and likeable MC's. I wouldn't spend the credit to listen to this as a standalone audiobook, but definitely worth 1/3 of a credit. The second book iof the set, Shot in the Dark is a lighter, more humorous read. The male MC, Wren, is a socially-awkward IT genius. When he inadvertently opens a large box sent to W. Nelson in front of the Blackbridge crew, only to discover that it is full of sex toys, then figures out there is another W. Nelson in his apartment building, he is intrigued and begins using his IT skills to stalk her online. He develops a crush and recreates himself into her dream man, meanwhile uncovering a threat to her life. The scene-stealer in this book is his pet, a foul-mouthed, surprising intuitive African Gray Parrot. This book was definitely worth the 1/3 of a credit.--a fun read, although I wished for a bit more of Wren's backstory. The third book in the collection, Contingency Plan, wasn't what I expected. Although it kept me entertained. it frustrated me. The male MC, Flynn Coleman is an ex-FBI agent, now second in command at Blackbridge. He was forced out of the FBI in disgrace after he became romantically entangled with a woman he was investigating, only to discover she was using him--and that's my biggest problem with this book. I wanted the details of the backstory. Tantalizing hints were not enough. Also, while I could understand why Flynn might be sexually attracted to the 20-year-old woman he is basically babysitting, for me, there just wasn't enough development of the female character to explain why Flynn would be intellectually attracted to her. Like her, okay. Love her? I was also surprised that, although there are apparently some threats against her, she never really needs protection from an outside threat. I found Flynn a very likeable character, but I was disappointed in the story line of this book. I kept waiting for something to happen beyond the cat-and-mouse relationship games, but it never did. Because I like Flynn, and because I love Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton, the book was definitely worth 1/3 credit. Full disclosure, I just purchased the second boxset in this series. Not great literature, but fun entertainment. I 'd definitely recommend it as light listening, particularly for Morgan and Dalton fans.

Fantastic stories!!!

I rarely listen to audiobooks more than once, but this box set is superb!!! Fantastic narrators. The second book in the series is such a gem!!! We rarely get nerdy men who are actually really great male characters. This one was fantastic!!! Oh, and the narrator's British accent in book 3 - perfection!!!
