A promising start

This is a very interesting spin in the fantasy genre. Jackson Pryde, Xander Wright and the gang are all loveable characters. The world this story sets up is really interesting, and I can't wait to see what the rest of this series has in store for us.

Wonderful!

I usually never hear audiobooks I haven't read in ebook before, but this book really got my attention. The book has everything to make it a perfect reading, a great backstory that includes a mystery to solve, a magical complex plot, wonderful characters and a tangled love story. This is my first Nazri Noor's book and I can assure you it will not be my last, I can't wait for more on this series! Regarding the performance, I enjoyed a lot how Mr Johnson managed the characters and the narration in general. Wonderful!

Nazri Noor does it again.

This is the second book I've listened to by Mr. Noor, and once again, I am enamored of his writing. The characters in A Touch of Fever are fun and the banter between all of them is super amusing. In fact, much of this book amused me, but it also kept me interested and riveted to the story.

Jackson and Xander together are hot enough to blister flesh.

Zachary Johnson does an outstanding job narrating this book.

Interesting world building

Fun characters in an interesting setting. I enjoyed the way this series has characters and settings that cross over into other series by this author. It is packed with action, adventure, romance and mystery. I'm a sucker for childhood friends turned lovers and this ome also had a bit of a rival/enemy to lover twist. Very interesting magic system and loads of fantasy critters. Great narration.

Fantastic

Such a good story full of magic, mayhem, pining, mooning, adventure, fun, and of course love. Fantastic audio performance by Zachary Johnson! Love the way he brings each character to life, such emotion! Great job and I'm looking forward to the next!

Fun paranormal listen

I absolutely loved this sweet opposites attract Paranormal romance.

Such an amazing listen with great character development and a well executed plot.

More than a touch of perfection!

What an amazing ride this book was!

I adore Jack & his insecurities made him so relatable. His snark and humor are so on point. I enjoyed seeing the Black Market, the different “edges” of it, through his eyes. His descriptions are colorful peppered with humor.

The world-building in this story is excellently done. The characters are fleshed out. Distinct in their own way & the narrator did a fine job of portraying that on audio as well.

Whenever I listen to stories with a nod to some authentic cultural reference, it makes me love the book a little bit more. Jack had me at his enjoyment of pan de coco. 💙

Zachary Johnson’s narration gave this story a whole new level of enjoyment.

If you’re a fan of urban fantasy stories, magic, romance, plot twists, remarkable characters, then this one is for you.

I can imagine fans of Haily Turner, Ava Marie Salinger, Richard Amos to enjoy this one.

Wonderful Fantasy Escape

The world building is delightful in this story! From proud gryphons to a mobile city with various magic guilds, this is an urban fantasy that leans into the fantasy escape I live for in books. I also love the snappy moments between the characters. The main character is literally rough around the edges, and I was not sure how I felt about him at the beginning of the story. However, I grew to love him as I learned his tragic backstory and saw more clever banter with him. I also love that he admitted he was wrong and needed to self improve from time to time. I could feel him healing through the story. And yes, this gave the sweet butterflies and "fun times" I seek in a romance. I look forward to reading the rest!

Loved it!

I loved this story so much! Jackson and Xander were such great characters. The world was also amazing and well built. I’m excited to get to know more of this world and what’s really going on with everything. There was a lot of intensity between the two main men even before they gave into it. I’m curious to learn more about the magic and really hope that things will continue well for the relationship. I also want more of the magic creatures they were definitely my favorite parts of the story.

So good

Ok I love this story. Yeah, there's romance but there's actual plot. You can tell there's more to the series so I'm really excited for that. And this is a unique modern fantasy world that you get to learn about slowly in stead of all at once in a boring glob of information. There's a Gryffin and magic and science and portals and good food. Sounds like the place to be.

The narration was also great. Each character had their own voice and attitude which was well portrayed with great inflections and cadence.

Honestly I wasn't expecting it to be as cute and exciting as it was. I just wanted the story to keep going and I can't wait for the next one.
