LOVED IT!
I had already read the book, but I was excited to see it on audio. Especially with my top favorite narrators J.F, Harding, and Stella Hunter; they were phenomenal.
I really enjoyed the book even though it was similar to some that I’ve read, even so I think she did a great job with the story and I look forward to hearing the rest of the series.

Lacking plot
I think this has the potential to be an amazing story if it focused more on the actual plot and less on the sex.
I love some spice but gosh if you could actually tell the story instead of having 3 lines of dialogue and then spice, 5 lines and then spice, etc.

I’m sorry… but REALLY?!
I was SO excited for this book! I don’t know if it was overhyped, but i was so let down.
I’ve read Dramione Fan Fiction with more plot and character development than this book. I just can’t vibe with a book where the main character meets someone - decides they’re her soul mate after literally 2 hours of life go by and then we never get to know either of the characters beyond how turned on they make each other. I couldn’t tell you a single defining factor about ANY character in this book.
And they only plot point I can gather is that there are evil vampires and the FMC has special blood. Why is it special? No clue. Why are the vampires evil? Still no clue. The spicy scenes weren’t even that great because I literally know or feel nothing for these characters.
Overall it was a big, anti-climactic let down for me. Boooooooo.

Wow. I’m 3/3 on bad books
This is my 3rd terrible book I bought in the most recent sale. Instant love. Mates. Bad writing. Sigh. I think I’m going to have to go to a better genre because all the newer books are rip offs of each other. This was the exact plot of “What Lies Beyond the Veil” so I wasn’t even surprised when the big reveal happened. I had already guessed all of it though the MC was ignorant enough not to 🙄

Enjoyed.
Really enjoyed this world Holly Renee has created. Also the characters have depth to them and in the audio you feel drawn in. I love the mixture or humans with Fae, and vampires. Also that only a star blessed human can make or break such prowerful creatures. Can’t wait to continue.
