Read this book!

I'm in the middle of a diagnosis, I just recently realized what's really been going on in my life. I wanted to read this before sharing with my partner. I think everything she talks about is spot on! Definitely recommend!

A must-read!

Extremely helpful, easy to understand, and explains all the things I was unable to in a way allistic (non-autistic) partners of autistic people can understand. The information is valuable no matter your gender or sexuality. Although through term “Asperger’s” is outdated, the information in this book is still extremely relevant and shouldn’t be passed over. Extremely glad I bought this. Well worth the price and more.

Packed with perspective!

After a late diagnosis with Asperger’s one of my biggest challenges is explaining how I am effected on a day to day basis. It’s also become quite obvious most people don’t have any real understanding of Asperger’s or Autism. This book is a great guide to getting a bit more understanding of your aspie loved one. Some parts of the book made me cry because I just felt so seen and understood. I would highly recommend.

This is so validating!

I’m in the process of getting diagnosed, and it’s a validating to hear the experiences given in this book that I have gone through my whole life. I really hope my partner listens to this so he has a better understanding of what I go through daily.

Needful

Excellent topic and delivery.
The Aspies have been hidden and misunderstood in society for too long.

Great overview

I'm a guy, so take this review with a the grain of salt. This was a great basic intro to ASC in women and their needs. The author spoke a lot from her own perspective while allowing for variation in people's experiences. Sometimes the author's opinions felt harsh when she was passionate about an issue. Also, the book loss some energy about 2/3 of the way. The author finished well and I would buy the book again.

So insightful and validating.

A fact-filled book that is loaded with both compassion and helpful narratives for the Aspie
and their partner.

Helpful

This was easy to listen to and it made me curious for more. I listened in order to decide if I wanted to share it with my partner. I could relate to about 80% of the content and feel it could be useful to him. He has his own issues and some AS traits as well so it was helpful to me in thinking about how I relate to him.
