Publisher's summary

He'd never wanted anyone enough to chase them...until he met her.

Charming, easygoing, and rich beyond belief, Xavier Castillo has the world at his fingertips.

He also has no interest in taking over his family’s empire (much to his father’s chagrin), but that hasn’t stopped women from throwing themselves at him…unless the woman in question is his publicist.

Nothing brings him more joy than riling her up, but when a tragedy forces them closer than ever, he must grapple with the uncertainty of his future—and the realization that the only person immune to his charms is the only one he truly wants.

***

Cool, intelligent, and ambitious, Sloane Kensington is a high-powered publicist who’s used to dealing with difficult clients.

However, none infuriate—or tempt—her more than a certain billionaire heir, with his stupid dimples and laid-back attitude.

She may be forced to work with him, but she’ll never fall for him…no matter how fast he makes her heart beat or how thoughtful he is beneath his party persona.

He’s her client, and that’s all he’ll ever be. Right?

King of Sloth is a steamy forced proximity romance. It's book four in the Kings of Sin series but can be listened to as a standalone.

One of my favorites!

This is her best book in the series tied with king of wrath! Literally so good! Loved every second. Except I do have some questions

SPOILERS: who set the fire (like did I miss it idk) And who is that guy that both Sloan and Xavier ran into with a vague description and that’s all?? Also I need a book on the mute Slavic man pls <3 I love a man of little words HAHAHAHA

Another fantastic read from this author!

She's done it again! Another fantastic read from Ana.

Xavier and Sloane couldn't be more different, but boy did that make them coming together, hehe, even better. Absolutely love the dynamic that these two have, especially in the beginning. I loved them bickering back-and-forth with each other. This is such a beautiful love story. I love seeing these two grow and develop, not only as a couple, but also as individuals. I've really started loving and appreciating the black cat heroine this past year. I don’t know what it is about it, but it just feels so satisfying to read when the grumpy heroine finally let’s go and embraces her feelings. This is exactly how I felt while reading. I also have to make mention of that delicious bathroom scene 🥵🥵🥵 If you know it, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

The audio for this book was absolute perfection. Gregory Salinas and Elena Wolfe were the narrators and wow did these to really embody Xavier and Sloane. They really brought them to life and I honestly don't think any other narrators could have done a better job. I’ve listened to a book or two that they've narrated before and I love their voices.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I’m so excited for the rest of the series, especially the next book! This is probably my least favorite book in the series so far, but I thought the story and characters were great. Such a solid read and highly recommended if you’re looking for something really easy to get into and follow along.

‼️Lowkey spoiler warning‼️

*spoiler warning*
I loved everything about this book besides the 3rd act break up, I just thought it was to predictable there’s a 3rd act break up in every freaking book, that’s the ONLY thing I didn’t like though. The emotional attachment I have to these characters is crazy bro, and the appearances of some of my favorite characters were so exciting

Sizzling Romance

Xavier and Sloane... where do I even begin with these two? 😍

Billionaire playboy Xavier finds himself in a clash of wills with his uptight publicist, Sloane. But when forced proximity throws them together, sparks fly in a steamy romance neither saw coming.
Xavier is an absolute dream—swoon—while Sloane, aka "The Ice Queen," lives up to her reputation. Watching Xavier work hard to break down Sloane's walls was utterly captivating.

The narrators, Gregory Salinas and Elena Wolfe, did an excellent job bringing Sloane and Xavier to life. And can we talk about Sloane's scathing reviews of romcom movies? Hilarious!

This book delivers on all fronts—a sizzling romance, witty banter, and characters you can't help but root for.

Absolutely fantastic!

This book is everything! Let me tell you, Gregory Salinas was pure perfection for Xavier 🥵 Absolutely loved the opposites attract, publicist/client plot of this book! Made for such a slow burn, full of flirty banter.

"In a world of black and white, she was my kaleidoscope." *swoon*

ADORED THIS

* hate to love
* billionaire romance
* golden retriever MMC and grumpy/tough exterior FMC
* cutest sibling
* lots of family drama

There is so much to love about this story! I love Xavier, a party animal turned business owner who sets out to prove he can accomplish something big and who falls HARD for our girl, Sloane. Sloane is an "ice queen" who runs a massive PR firm and is tough as nails (and Xavier is one of her clients)! I loved watching Xavier break down Sloane's walls and also loved seeing her little quirks and fun hobbies (like filling notebooks of romcom reviews LOL). Her love for her baby sister was the best and their moments were some of my favorites (the rest of her family... I have * choice words * for them that I will not spell out 😂). Their chemistry was great and I quickly got on board with their relationship and just how GOOD they were for each other!

Thank you to the author for an ALC of this audiobook - all opinions are my own!

Oh. My. Gosh. I loved it! It was perfect.

Oh. My. Gosh. I loved it. It was perfect. The story. The narration. All of it.

Sloane Kensington, the Ice Queen and top publicist. She ambitious and she's very good at what she does. Sloane is estranged from her family after her fiancé and her older sister have an affair and then get married. Sloane isn't willing to let it slide and her...jerk...of a father told her if she can't keep the family image then she is out of the family.

Xavier Castillo, the lazy son of a billionaire. He likes to party and relax and have zero responsibilities. His mother died in a fire and his father wishes it was him, no he really said that! Xavier is just cruising through life keeping Sloane on her toes and earning her paycheck.

These two!!!! It all starts with a deal, Xavier will go to his father's honor ceremony in exchange for one week uninterrupted vacation with Sloane. Sloane has a date to make so she caves. You know where this goes but the journey to the HEA was an adventure! The ups and downs and the tears and the laughter, this book seriously has it all. Gregory and Elena NAILED the narration, it's a duet so that's even more engaging and entertaining. These two brought Sloane and Xavier to life and I can't think of a duo who could have come close to what these two have done.

All of this and I haven't even mentioned the cameos of our past loves! Getting glimpses of them, having them be involved in the story, it was perfection! Ana just does it for me every single time and all my reading love is thanks to one tiktok video! As much time of mine as that app wastes I'll never regret it for finding this author.

Ohhh and what's up with Vuk and Ayana!?!? How does this woman have VUK tied up?! THAT is going to be something to read. I'm just going to very impatiently waiting for that! Of course first we get The Striker and I STG Asher Donovan!!!! *insert ALL the heart eyes here*

Okay seriously GO READ THIS BOOK! I'm not kidding. Just cancel your today. Whatever you had planned won't be as good as this book.

What Ana Huang does best!

Hands down has the best endearments, confessions and apologies. It is everything I love in a romcom movie, but with better spice. 😉

Emotional and intense

Watching Sloane fall in love was amazing. It was a slow start, full of moments of frustration, and annoyance that slowly turned into something more.
This story was full of adventure, surprises, emotions, excitement, overcoming past obstacles.
I love the passion and chemistry, the friendships and of course the spice.
This was another win for this series.
The narrators were both absolute perfection.
Elena Wolfe & Gregory Salinas did a fantastic job bringing all facets of this story and each character to life.
