Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is known universally for the gentle charm of Le Petit Prince, but it is this book, Land of Men - known originally in English as Wind, Sand and Stars - which is his masterpiece. First published in 1939, it documents Saint-Exupéry's life as a pilot in the pioneering days of long-distance flying and in particular his experiences as a pilot transporting mail across countries, across continents.

Il piccolo principe (Le Petit Prince) è un racconto breve molto poetico difficilmente etichettabile come libro per ragazzi. Scritto da Antoine de Saint-Exupery nel 1943, affronta temi come l'amicizia, l'amore, l'attaccamento. På B612 finns det också en ros, som den lille prinsen tar hand om, och som är hans enda vän. Den lille prinsen beslutar sig dock för att lämna sitt hem och rosen, som alltid gnäller, för att hitta nya vänner, och för att lära sig något nytt.
