Deep in the forest, stands a mountain that has claimed the lives of many daring mountain climbers, known as Death Mountain, which is one of the tallest mountains in the world, at an approximate height of 32,000 feet. Jimmy Spencer and his friends Karen, Jackie and Tom were all avid mountain climbers and were always up for a challenge.

Dan Edwards was getting sick and tired of everybody dying around him and having to attend so many funerals. One night, while he was lying in bed watching TV and daydreaming, he said aloud, "I wish there was a place where there were no graves." The house had a strange odor, but they just thought it was because the house was old. Jack's wife, Brenda, thought once they moved in and did some renovations, the odor would diminish. She was dead wrong. This was one odor that wouldn't be leaving even if the place burnt to the ground.

Jim Harrington just inherited his uncle's mansion, located in the country, on an isolated road, with 1,000 acres of mostly wooded land. The closest neighbor was about two miles down the old gravel road from the farm. The mansion was pretty run down and needed a lot of work to make it livable again. Since Jim was a handy man, this was right up his alley. Jim never knew the real reason his uncle died. The lawyer told Jim at the reading of the will that he died of a heart attack. So Jim didn't question it, and just signed the papers, ready to take on this big responsibility ahead of him.

Sally Edwards didn't have many friends at Gravendale High School. Whenever Sally tried out for sports she would be picked on by her classmates because she was a tomboy. Sally had buck teeth and matted hair and slurred her speech. She also wore the same clothes to school every day. Sally was poor and was being raised by her alcoholic grandfather who didn't have long to live, maybe weeks at best. When her classmates got wind of the passing of her grandfather the following week they started picking on her pretty hard.
