he Animorphs' latest adventure takes them where no man has ever gone before... into Marco's left nostril. Who else could be responsible for this mess but a crew of miniature egomaniacs? Jake seems to have grown up overnight–literally. When he went to asleep he was his usual kid-self, and when he woke up, about ten years had flown by! What's worse, the Yeerk invasion of Earth has succeeded. The newly-adult Jake searches for Ax and the other Animorphs to find a way out of the horrific future–but he soon learns they won't be much help. They've all been killed or infested.

The Animorphs have managed to contact the Andalite home world, but the battle is far from over. Visser Two has arrived on Earth, and he's not happy about the state of things. He decides the best way to take over Earth is to have the humans destroy each other, exhausting their weapons in the process. He's going to start World War III.

The Animorphs have to make the most important decision they've ever faced: Do they continue to fight the Yeerks in secret, or is it time to let everyone know there's a resistance? The pint-sized Helmacrons may have departed Earth, but they haven't finished causing trouble for the Animorphs and Ax. They left behind a damaged ship—containing morph-tracking technology. Now the Yeerks have found the ship, and are launching a full scale Animorphs hunt! As if avoiding the Yeerks' new tracking system isn't hard enough, Cassie and the others realize they must keep the morphing cube moving if they don't want the Yeerks to find it. But when Cassie tries to hide the Andalites' cube, it accidentally touches a Cape Buffalo!

The Andalites have returned! The main fleet flew off-course in an effort to stop the galaxy's newest threat – the Rakkam Garoo. But a small crew managed to reach Earth. Now it's up to the Animorphs to decide how to treat their new allies. Can the group be trusted? Or do they see the kids as a threat to their own mission? Ax is torn. The Andalite team wants him on board–especially the cute young female cadet named Estrid.

Two of the free Hork-Bajir living on Earth have brought the Animorphs and Ax a terrifying discovery: Visser Three has tried—unsuccessfully—to create a race of amphibious Hork-Bajir. It seems Visser Three has become fixated on the sunken Pemalite ship he glimpsed and lost (book #27). So, he has arranged the construction of a fabulous new underwater Yeerk craft he calls "SeaBlade," that will be able to locate the Pemalite ship along with it's advance technology.

The Yeerks have decided to step-up recruitment in The Sharing---but it's not going to be celebrity endorsements this time. It's a cable TV show, one with a lot of interactivity: call-in and Web site. The Animorphs and Ax are at a loss as to how to bring this threat down. The Yeerks have come up with a brilliant defense. The studio is in a large building with its own day care center. The day care center is right next to the studio, and, to emphasize the family nature of the show, there's even a glass wall separating the studio from day care center.

There is an Anti-morphing ray out there. It's purpose: to cause a person in morph to revert to his natural form. And the Yeerks have done a very good job in hiding it. Word from the Chee that the Yeerks are ready to test the weapon. Just one problem: They don't have a test subject. Yes, they could have Visser Three go into morph and them hit him with the ray. But Yeerk scientists say there's a definite chance that the ray will prove fatal. The Visser isn't volunteering.

Rachel is falling apart. Literally. Her newest morph has the ability to regenerate its limbs, but when Rachel demorphs there's a lot more Rachel than when she started out. One more Rachel, to be exact. Rachel is an okay person to have around. But two could be considered overkill. Especially two Rachels with completely opposite personalities: one is pathetically weak; one is super strong and super nasty.

Jake and Tom's maternal great-grandfather dies suddenly. Their mom immediately travels out of state to help make arrangements for the funeral. Jake, Tom, and their father are to follow in two days when their dad can take off from work, and stay for a few days.
