  • People Pleasing, Food Pushers & Saying YES to Yourself
    Dec 2 2025

In this episode, I talk about one of the biggest challenges my clients face—people pleasing, especially around food and the holidays. December brings more gatherings, more comments, more food pushers… and more pressure to say yes when what we really want is to stay aligned with our goals.

I share why people pleasing feels so tempting in the moment and how it actually connects back to our primitive survival instincts. I walk through common situations—like taking a drink you don’t want, eating something because someone made it “for you,” or choosing food based on how you think others will judge you.

I also teach you how to stop people pleasing by:

    • deciding ahead of time what you truly want,
    • understanding your “why,” and
    • choosing thoughts on purpose when comments or pressure come your way.

And if you’ve been calling yourself a “people pleaser,” I show you how to shift into the identity of a recovering people pleaser so you can start honoring your own decisions with more confidence.

This episode will help you enter the holidays—and the new year—feeling more grounded, intentional, and committed to saying yes to yourself.

  • Thanksgiving Without Stuffing Yourself
    Nov 25 2025

In this episode, I share the mindset shifts and simple strategies I use — and teach my clients — to enjoy Thanksgiving or any holiday without overeating, overdrinking, or abandoning the habits that make you feel your best. I walk you through how I changed my own old patterns and how you can feel calm, confident, and in control around food during celebrations.

    ✨ Key Takeaways

    • Why I used to overeat on holidays and the thoughts that kept me stuck.
    • The mindset work that changed everything, including the belief that the day isn’t about the food.
    • The thoughts I practice now, like “I can want something and not eat it” and “I want to feel good tonight.”
    • The simple plan I follow on Thanksgiving so I enjoy myself without stuffing myself.
    • How I manage my primitive brain, which always wants instant gratification.
    • Why choosing intentional discomfort leads to feeling proud instead of regretful.

  • Want to Get Stronger? Do this one thing......
    Nov 18 2025

In this episode, I share the one mindset shift that helped me finally get stronger in my 40s. For years, I held myself back with the thought, “I don’t want to hurt myself.” I break down how this belief keeps so many women stuck, why avoiding challenge actually increases our risk of injury as we age, and what changed for me when I finally let go of that fear.

I also share the conversations with my son, my husband, and even insights from big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton that completely transformed how I think about strength, aging, and discomfort. This episode will inspire you to push yourself, lift heavier, and trust your ability to adapt and grow.

    What I Cover

    • The surprising research on muscle loss in women as we age
    • The real thought that stops most women from getting stronger
    • How lifting heavier (and allowing discomfort) changed my strength quickly
    • Why occasional injury is part of growth—not a sign to stop
    • How I balance pushing myself with listening to my body

    Key Takeaway

If you want to get stronger, you must shift the thoughts that are keeping you comfortable. Building strength requires mental courage, physical challenge, and a willingness to experience small setbacks along the way. You can become stronger than you think—at any age.

  • Are you Escaping or Avoiding Your Emotions? Or Both?
    Nov 11 2025

Learn more or work with me at modernbodymodernlife.com

In this episode, I’m diving into something that impacts every area of our lives — our emotions. I talk about the two main ways we tend to disconnect from how we feel: escaping and avoiding our emotions.

You’ll learn how emotions drive your daily actions and habits, and why understanding them is key to creating lasting change — whether your goal is to feel better in your body, improve relationships, or stop emotional eating. I’ll share how to tell if you’re an “escaper,” an “avoider,” or a bit of both, and give you tools to process emotions instead of pushing them away.

When you understand why you do what you do, you gain the power to change it — and that’s when everything in life gets better.

Listen in, and if this episode resonates, share it with someone you love to go deep with.

  • Stop "All or Nothing" Behavior to Reach Your Health Goals
    Nov 4 2025

In this episode of Modern Body, Modern Life, I’m talking about something that held me back for years — and keeps so many women stuck: all-or-nothing thinking.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re either on or off, good or bad, perfect or failing when it comes to your eating, workouts, or health habits — this episode is for you. I share how I broke free from that exhausting cycle and how you can too.

I’ll walk you through why perfectionism and diet culture have trained us to believe that being “all in” is the only way to see results — and why that couldn’t be further from the truth. You’ll hear real examples from my own journey and from clients who’ve found peace and freedom by focusing on progress, not perfection.

    💬 What you will learn

    • How the all-or-nothing mindset sneaks into our thinking
    • Why perfectionism feels productive — but really keeps us stuck
    • The mindset that helps my clients lose weight and think about food less

    🌟 My Big Takeaways

    • Trying to be perfect is a big part of the problem.
    • You can become the healthiest version of myself without being perfect.
    • Dessert tastes better when it’s not served with a side of shame.
    • Choosing my discomfort on purpose — that’s where the growth happens.

  • Giving Up Good for Great
    Oct 28 2025

In this episode of Modern Body, Modern Life, I’m diving deep into what it really means to go from good to great — in your body, your business, and your life.

Maybe things in your life are fine right now. You’re comfortable, successful, even content. But deep down, you know there’s more. You feel that nudge that says, “I’m ready for something greater.” The truth is, staying “good” often keeps us stuck. Growth and transformation require courage, discomfort, and a willingness to let go of what no longer fits — even when it’s still working.

I share my own story of transitioning from my successful handmade jewelry business into my dream career as a Body and Life Coach, and how that shift required me to release something good to create space for something truly great.

If you’ve ever felt called to reinvent yourself — especially in midlife — this episode will inspire you to trust that pull, take bold action, and create the next version of yourself with confidence and intention.

💡 In This Episode, I Talk About:

    • The “curse of being good” — why comfort and complacency can hold you back from your next level.
    • The beauty of hitting rock bottom, and why it’s often a catalyst for personal growth.
    • My journey from stay-at-home mom and artist to six-figure entrepreneur and full-time coach.
    • How to handle other people’s opinions when they don’t understand your transformation.
    • Why doubt, fear, and uncertainty are normal parts of the growth process — and how to move forward anyway.

  • Obsession With The Scale....How to Use it as a Measure of Your Efforts, Not Your Self-Worth
    Oct 21 2025

If stepping on the scale feels stressful or defeating, you are not alone. I coach on this with my clients every week so it is time I created a podcast to help you to start using your scale as a tool and not a weapon.

This episode will help you find peace. I share how to see the number as neutral feedback — a tool for awareness, not a measure of self-worth.

For coaching and resources, visit modernbodymodernlife.com.

    Learn how to:

    • Use the scale without letting it control your emotions
    • Spot real progress beyond the number
    • Be radically honest without being harsh
    • Turn frustration into curiosity and compassion
