• 6x15: Please Please Please, Don't Ghost People!
    Jun 25 2024

As someone who's been ghosted, it sucked

As someone who's ghosted people, i just didn't want to get hurt because i hate confrontation

BUT YOU SEE?! "I" . A selfish reason. I would rather hurt others than own up to the truth and be transparent.

This episode deals with ghosting and why as people we need to be better and actually learn to NOT ghost people. To consider the implications of ghosting is to honestly be a decent human being. We can save so many people from crippling anxiety and destroyed self esteem if we just, you know, OWN UP TO IT.

If you are either the ghostee/ghoster, i would love to have you on a future episode so we can discuss the whys and the hows!

  • 6x14: Rejection in Dating (And what NOT to do to yourself!)
    Jun 18 2024

Rejection sucks. Rejection hurts. Most times, rejection makes us think we are not worthy of love, of ANYTHING in this world.

But this is exactly, what we should NEVER do. To go down this spiral, this rabbit hole, which is where all of us end up meeting each other (Hello fellow HOLE)

In this episode i talk about my very (triggering) and real way that i used to cope with rejection. It was so unhealthy, and it destroyed me for YEARS.

I hope for those of you who can relate, I hope y'all learn something from this today

    Love y'all! And HAPPY PRIDE!

  • 6x13: Confused About Your Sexuality? You GOT THIS!
    Jun 11 2024

Growing up, I never knew there was such a thing as "pansexual". Specially in the Philippines, you were limited to two choices, gay/lesbian or straight. Not only this, back in my day (ahem OLD) being within the community has such a huge negative connotation (like being a disgrace to society).

There are so many people who are not able to figure out their sexuality/identity because of such factors, and it shows. This episode, I talk about my experiences with being too afraid to live my truth as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I also share insight on, well, the fact that you, my friends, are loved :)

Don't forget to share this with your friends, and to share love during pride(and everyday please! )

  • 6x12: Putting Effort In Your Personal Relationships (Specially FRIENDSHIPS)
    Jun 4 2024

Relationships are hard, and I don't mean just ROMANTIC.

I wanted to talk about this because it's something that's been bothering me for quite some time, and I realized i needed a pep talk for myself (and all of you!)

Realizing that I was the issue as to why i can't seem to maintain great friendships was a hard pill to swallow, but I had so much i was dealing with (mental health, financial troubles, work problems etc) that it made it feel impossible to connect with anyone consistently.

But i thought about it and realized, hold on, if these people, time and time again, are willing to try and include me in things, and I keep removing myself from these situations, why am I complaining that i'm lonely and that no one wants to reach out?

Well, DING DING DING! Wouldn't you know, it turns out, it was MY FAULT all along.

Join me this episode as i (preach) TALK about the importance of effort in your relationships!

  • 6x11: Abandonment Issues
    May 28 2024

My dad left me before i was even born, and my Mom left me with my grandparents so she can finish school (spoiler alert: they were VERY young)

But guess what, I still love them very much (only recently though)

On today's episode, i talk about my very own abandonment issues and how this has shaped a lot of the unfortunate events in my life.

I felt that this was a topic i truly wanted to discuss because not a lot of us realize that so many of our bad decisions/questionable personality traits actually come as a byproduct of abandonment that we have experienced.

But, as always, believe me, we can get through this!

  • 6x10: Life In Canada On A Work and Student Visa with Bella Kim
    May 21 2024

I had to do an episode like this, and hopefully I'm able to help more voices be heard!

Bella is an awesome coworker/friend of mine from Korea, currently studying and working here in Canada. She talks about the language barrier, the cultural differences in the workplace between Korea and Canada, and of course, how she REALLY feels being in a different country!

Bella is so brave to share her story and her journey here in Canada, and if you have a similar story/want to talk about mental health or other stuff, just message me!

  • 6x09 : My Experience at a Psych Hospital, and Why I'm Glad I Went !
    May 14 2024

Shout out to 7 West at North York General Hospital!

It's a truly loaded episode, because not only do i talk about my stay at a Psych Hospital, but truly, there are layers to this. Everyday we see so many individuals struggling with their mental health disorder, to the point of homelessness, and I can't help but ask, if they were able to get the help that they needed, would they have ended up there?

This episode is a call to action, for all of us, all over the world, to show compassion to others but, just as important, to show compassion to OURSELVES. We need to make sure we are getting the help WE deserve as well, and sometimes, we can only do this by seeking help.

I'm here to try and debunk myths about being in psychiatric hold, because unlike the movies, it was actually very helpful

  • 6x08: Embarrassed Of Your Job? Me Too!
    May 7 2024

I know it's all me, I know i have nothing to be embarrassed about (neither do you) , but sometimes, we just can't help it!

Today's episode talks about the kind of shame we feel whenever we find ourselves with jobs that does not seem suitable for our age group (lets say, fast food at 35?) , and how this makes us feel. What I'm trying to do this episode is allow people to understand that it's very common to take up a job that allows you to put food on the table, and THAT'S OKAY!
