Joe Rickman has spent the last eight years running the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan, working with every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. When he suddenly goes missing, the initial assumption is kidnapping, but Mitch Rapp knows certain things about his old friend that gives him pause.
When he’s ordered to find Rickman, no matter the cost, Rapp knows his mission will be an exceptionally dangerous one. With the Taliban, Iran, Pakistan, and Russia all vying for a piece of the war-torn state and the FBI dispatching their own special agent to investigate, Rapp is facing his most difficult assignment yet.
With white-knuckled twists and turns, The Last Man proves once again that Vince Flynn “is a master—maybe the master—of thrillers in which the pages seem to turn themselves” (Book Reporter).

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this audiobook since I am a fan of Mitch, Vince and George. It just works for me.Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot moved pretty fast and balanced the history and character development.Which scene was your favorite?
Going to the vet to see about a dog. What could go wrong there?Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't have an extreme reaction but there were a range of emotions brought up by different scenes.Any additional comments?
Worthly listen and I am glad to see Vince is able to get new book out so quickly after the last one.Explosively Entertaining

Would you consider the audio edition of The Last Man to be better than the print version?
yes- I do not think i would have enjoyed this book nearly as much if I had read it. This was, at least for me, a very fun listenWhat did you like best about this story?
Flynn delivers.Any additional comments?
Really enjoyed listening to this book. Made the time pass and could not wait to hear the rest.If you have read or listened to other Flynn books this is more of the same, and I mean that as a compliment.

If you could sum up The Last Man in three words, what would they be?
Three words? You're kidding right? While the entire Vince Flynn series is wonderful. It truly is a treat to see an author get so far into a series and not lose sight of the characters, the emotion and twists. I highly recommend the series and this book. As always, the narrator George Guidall is extraordinarily talented and a real joy to listen to.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Stan Hurley. What an obnoxiously wonderful character.Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
AAA+Which by the way is a better rating than some countries! He is always remarkable.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My eyes were wide at the narrative of Mitch Raps rant to the Afgan Local Police. Riveting.Any additional comments?
Please Vince, you can have my money... Write more Mitch Rapp books. My disappointment was that it ended.
