Wally Lamb is my very favorite author. He makes you fall in love with the main character and leaves you changes forever.

Heartbreaking true to life

How heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹. I really loved this book. It was a true to life story that was told from a different angle than you would have expected. Sometimes I think the world needs more of that. I like that he didn’t muddle up the story with a bunch of characters that mean nothing or unnecessary side stories. Easy to follow and really kept the reader engaged and interested. Beautifully written.

Another WL masterpiece!

I couldn’t stop. So good. I love Wally Lamb’s books. This one did not disappoint. He knows how to give you all the emotions throughout the book. Amazing story.

This could happen

Eye opener to life. Covers tragedy, addiction, recovery, friendship and love. The narrator brings the characters to life, Wally Lamb once again writes another unforgettable story about real life experiences and how things can change overnight.

So sad

I can’t say I enjoyed this story because it was so sad. But I can say that it was very well written and realistic. The narrator did a magnificent job of bringing it to life.
Warning: don’t read or listen if you’ve lost a child or someone you loved dearly to prison.

A true story teller

I understand why this Is the Oprah Book Club pick. I was immediately drawn into this book after reading the first sentence, by the end of the first chapter I was like wtf. The storyline is incredible as I have come to expect from this author. I have read all his other books. What i didn’t expect was this ending. This story is about forgiving the unforgivable combined with addition snd surviving in the prison system

Superbly written

This novel was written with such heart, truth, anguish. You just wanted to see Corby get his family back and restart living again! Life is a multitude of different faces and this book showed me; good, bad, disgusting, ugly, love, loyalty and the unfairness of how life can change in milliseconds. Have your tissues nearby!
