Publisher's summary

"Today's leaders have a responsibility to inspire the leaders of tomorrow."

Lieutenant Colonel Oakland McCulloch has lived his life by this motto.

Throughout his decorated 23-year career in the United States Army and various civilian jobs that followed, McCulloch has lived a life of servant leadership. In his new book, Your Leadership Legacy: Becoming the Leader You Were Meant to Be, McCulloch shares commonsense principles that every current and aspiring leader can use. Experiences from his childhood and adult careers frame the leadership legacy he has personally passed down to countless others. As Oak likes to say, "Great leadership handed down from generation to generation is what develops great nations."

LTC McCulloch lives with his wife in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Great book to keep in your Leadership Toolkit!

This book was by far the best book I have read since Chris Voss's Never split the difference!

Excellent Book for Leaders at any Level!

This book covers the full spectrum of leadership, The timeless wisdom in this book/audiobook still holds true in the military and is equally relevant in the private sector. My hope is that this review will help someone decide to commit to listening to this title. It is challenging to write a review that targets anyone because being a better leader is desirable for everyone! While the author got his leadership experience primarily from his military career, Oak does an excellent job of relating his experiences with leadership in the private sector. Here are just a few people who could benefit from this book, this is not an all-inclusive list:
Battalion, Company, and Squadron Commanders
Staff Officers and NCOs
Ship Captains
Pilots
CEOs
Middle Managers
Platoon Leaders
Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs-all ranks)
Enlisted service members who want to advance their careers and get promoted
Entry-level managers
Principals/Teachers/Professors/Counselors
Fathers/Mothers/Siblings
Teenagers (it's never too early to learn how to become a leader. Developing your leadership in a positive manner will help with growing into a better person and improve life skills.)

A solid edition to anyone’s leadership library!

Solid content. Well written. Well read. For someone already well versed in leadership literature and the regular audiobook listener, this book can be listened to at 2.0x because the author enunciates his words very well. Recommend to both seasoned leaders looking to reinforce their knowledge and skills as well as aspiring leaders looking for wisdom.

Must read for all leaders!

This book is outstanding. If you are a leader in any capacity, this is a must read. Having been involved in corporate environments much of this was relatable to me. Oak’s proven experience in leadership shines through in this book and even though much of his background is in the military, all of the leadership principles he speaks about are relatable to any type of organization or any situation in life. I highly recommend!
