Frank's gaze was oddly confusing, as if he was attempting to discern the proper way to behave because he didn't know how to respond in a human manner. Since Frank obviously wasn't an alien, young Daniel thought maybe the man was crazy. In the end, Daniel would learn the terrifying truth about Frank Watkins. Decent Collection of True Short Stories...
I love the narrator's forward about how most scary movies did not scare him, and he preferred to read scary stories instead. I'm pretty much the opposite, I don't like to read or watch anything scary. However, I do love to hear about true paranormal events, which is why I was interested in listening to this audiobook which contains a collection of individual's personal experiences with the unexplained.
These stories reminded me of sitting around with family and friends, and telling each other about all the creepy, and bizarre things that have happened to us or someone we know. I really believe, most of us at some point in our lives, will encounter a moment when something happens and there's no logical explanation. Years ago, my husband, and I certainly had one of those experiences, and it still gives me chills when we talk about it. While these stories really were not that scary, I liked that they reminded me of all the weird things others, and myself have encountered, and it gave me chills all over again.
While some of the stories were really short, I enjoyed hearing about others encounters and gave this book an overall four stars.
Darren Marler did a great job retelling each individual story.

Decent Collection
These appear to be true stories of the paranormal compiled by the author. Some are just one sentence and others are more fleshed out. None are stories with very much detail or description added. Just straightforward here's what I was doing and here's what happened. Despite this, they are still intriguing to listen to.
The narration was good and did not distract from listening to the tales. I listened on 1.5 speed.

Compelling ... makes you question the afterlife/
Would you consider the audio edition of Your Haunted Lives to be better than the print version?
I've not read the print version therefore I am unable to compare the two.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
To me the most compelling part was the many ways people claim to be contacted by loved ones that have passed on.
What does Darren Marlar bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Darren Marlar was very engaging and enthusiastic. I felt as if he personally experienced each different story. He has the ability to bring your own imagination to life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There was no one moment in the book that particularly moved me. I felt the entire book moved me and made me question the afterlife.

Great idea...paranormal meets blogging
The idea was wonderful and unique. A book collecting the stories of paranormal experiences people have had. However the delivery fell short. This is not the authors fault. He diligently delivers the tales of the paranormal that people have placed on the website. The problem lies in that 90% of the people telling their stories can't write very well. The narrator lent what life could be given to the tales. These perhaps would have been better had they been interviews and the stories could have thereby been drawn out longer, embellished and given some back ground. There were some stories I would have liked to know more about. Location of these haunted houses and areas and the history of the people experiencing them. I hope that future releases could be a little bit deeper than this was. It was worth a listen but will leave you wanting more. These are tales of people's encounters with the super-natural. I didn't find anything too scary about any of them, but maybe that's just me!
The narration was well done.
